Recently I have had several experiences with captcha when paying for something with a credit card. I check the box saying I'm not a robot, get a green arrow, but then the purchase does not go through. Error message says I failed to satisfy the captcha, even though I was never shown the grid of images. Just now I tried the same operation with the same company invoice using Chrome, and it went through successfully by just checking the box I'm not a robot. This is very inconvenient.

It's not that they are not in my Firefox downloads manager, which I expected. It's that I confirmed before closing my private browsing window that they were in my Downloads folder on my C drive, and when I went back after closing the private browsing window they were gone. Under "recent files" in my file browser it showed a couple of the most recent downloads and when I tried to click to open them it said they had been moved or deleted. Entering the first couple words of the file titles in the search bar in my file browser yields absolutely nothing.

This was over 30 files or so. It will be really irritating to try to find and download all of them again. Does anyone know of any way for me to get them back???

My Firefox desktop app recently updated. After it updated, I now cannot access anything by right clicking. When I right click, a giant window of options shows up (see image). It doesn't change no matter what I click on. When I try to select something in the giant window of options, nothing happens. I'm having a very hard time with it, particularly because I can't open links into new tabs now.

A video of what is happening . This only happens when I search something up, for example, if I search more than one thing up on Pinterest, Google and sometimes Youtube . . . I'm sure it's not related to any extensions, the only one I installed recently was Privacy Possum, but after noticing this issue I deleted it and it didn't resolve the issue.

Help me Please it's Killing my Eyes

Hello,

I have encountered an issue on some websites where the Japanese text is using the font "Microsoft YaHei" when it should be using "Meiryo." Some examples are on the website bluesky, and bold text on Twitter such as in usernames.

I originally thought it was an issue on my end or in Windows, but when checking other programs and websites such as dengekionline and the non-bold text on Twitter it is using the correct font which I have confirmed via the inspector under the font section. When starting Firefox in safe mode it seems to use the correct font on the previously mentioned websites, so I disabled all my extensions and themes and this did not resolve the issue. I did a Firefox Refresh and this also did not resolve the issue.

I am not familiar with the intricacies on the Firefox about:config to really delve into the exact cause, so I ended up just reverting back to Firefox 134. On Firefox 134 with my same extensions previously the font is now back to Meiryo as it should be which leads me to believe it is something that was changed in Firefox 135. One thing I am considering is that the Japanese text is being recognized as Simplified Chinese by Firefox 135 as Simplified Chinese uses the Microsoft YaHei font as a default.

I have attached some photos that shows my Japanese font settings, and the same post by a user one on Firefox 135 which is using Microsoft YaHei and another on Firefox 134 which is using the correct Meiryo. I have also tried disabling the "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of your selections above" and then restarting on 135, but this did not resolve the issue. Hi Win10 PC fully up to date. Changed my printer from a Xerox to an HP laser. In the control panel, set the HP as the default printer. MS Office prints on the HP without prompting. Firefox (134.0.2) always defaults to the Xerox. The HP is available in the drop down box. Restarting the PC or reloading Firefox makes no difference, Firefox always defaults to the (non existent) Xerox. MS Edge defaults to the HP. Any ideas? Regards - Andrew

ver: 134.0.1 Windows 10 Pro I have Firefox set to open filetype PDF in Browser. Normally I use IDM which automatically download PDFs, unless I press ALT key while clicking DOWNLOAD button, then it does not, in order to allow Firefox to handle the PDF.

Firefox presently does nothing. With filetype setting set to Open in Browser, Firefox Does nothing. If settings are set to Ask, it does not ask. The PDF filename appears at bottom of screen momentarily.

ver: 115.19.0esr Windows 7 Utl 7601 The exact same behaviour was also seen on a Windows 7 system running Firefox 115.19.0esr. PDF is also set there to "Open in Firefox". Again, when ALT pressed when clicking Download button, Firefox does nothing.

I've been having a problem with FF for the last two weeks. At times downloads accessing web sites are slow or even get hung up. Usually reloading or refreshing the page fixes the problem. I tried a FF safe boot and things seemed to work better. I have had the same four extensions for quite awhile. Are there any reports of UBO causing issues?

It seems certain sites are prone to fire popup tabs, with any click, right clicks included. I close them immediately and the second click acts normal, getting the nav result I was asking for. How to strength the popup blocking function to stop this distracting behavior? Thanks for any pointers. This may prevent me from staying on FF.

For weeks now google translate has not been working as it should, when I translate something it usually defaults to translating it to English, but if I change the language to any other than English it still only shows the English translation (or whatever language it got "stuck" on).

I have signed out and in of my google account, have the latest version of Firefox (134.0.2), refreshing the pages doesn't help. I don't have this issue in other browsers.

For some time now I have not been able to access any website secured with Captcha verification. My browser doesn't recognize that I'm a human and keeps going back to square one. Importantly: this problem does not occur in other browsers. However, I would prefer to stay with Mozilla, so it will be nice if something can be done with it. I didn't change any settings, I didn't change hardware, I didn't reinstall Mozilla, so that's not the problem. I've looked through my security settings and don't see anything that would help in this case. Especially since these are websites that I had previously accessed and logged in without any problems.

I use the IRS form filler to pay my taxes...have for years with Firefox browser. This year (for 2024 return) when I sign into the site the 1040 form does not display correctly. the boxes are to the right and below the actual placement. I emailed IRS who said it is a setting in Firefox. I tried the site using Microsoft EDGE and it displays correctly. I have searched for possible solutions and tried them all like using/on and off excelerator, letting Firefox chose size and colors of sites, turned off Noton etc. I posted another question here but no replies or looks so maybe I did something wrong so I will try to post again. I have W10 fully updated and Firefox too up to date. I understand I could use Edge but never had to and prefer to use Firefox as I have before. any suggestions would be appreciated or where I can report a possible issue with Firefox. This question relates to version 134.0.2 (64-bit). This morning I started Firefox and found that many of my bookmarks were missing. On trying to restore from the program automatic backups, I get the repeated message "Unable to process the backup file." On examination, the files, while not in ASCII, appear to contain ASCII text strings recognizable from the bookmark descriptions. They are not, at least, empty. Unfortunately, I do not have an HTML format backup. Any idea why none of the backups work or what options I have? Thanks in advance.

Your PC doesn't have an app that can open this link. Try looking for a compatible app in the Microsoft Store.

I'm attempting to set up sync between my windows laptop and my new android phone. The phone has firefox loaded, allows me to pull up the 'sync and save your data' page, allows me to choose 'ready to scan' and presumably successfully scans the QR code displayed on the laptop (the laptop prompts me to approve the new device). Then the laptop indicates I need to wait to approve it on my phone, and the whole process stalls. The phone continues to display the mostly blank white screen with only the "moz://a" at the top and the spinning blue circle in the center. Eventually the whole thing seems to time out and I receive an error message on the laptop saying "websocket unexpectedly closed" and "device pairing failed".

My two hypotheses are that either still having my old phone (which is being retired to at-home use only, and I'd rather not de-sync) still synced is somehow interfering (seems unlikely), or that something about the new phone's software is interfering in the sync (seems unlikely and way out of my league in terms of troubleshooting around).

Help please?
