Is my computer ask risk if firefox 4 is not compatible with Norton

I upgraded to firefox 4 about 2 weeks ago i got a display message stating that Norton 360 was not compatible firefox 4. If i download it again (because i unistalled it) will my computer be at risk for a virus.

The core functions such as anti-virus and firewall will still work, it is the add-ons that are not compatible.

Symantec plan to release updates for their add-ons in early May.
