How do I get Firefox to show the URL of a website reference shown on a page

Until today, whenever I moved my cursor over a reference to another web site, it showed me the URL for the website. That's no longer happening? How do I get this back?

The URL should show in the Status Bar. If it doesn't, the site may be hiding it with a script or the link may run a script rather than loading a link in the old fashioned way.

To prevent scripts from altering the status bar, visit:

Tools > Options > Content

Click the Advanced button to the right of Enable JavaScript and clear the last two checkboxes (leave them unchecked).
