I do NOT want to use ANY VPN services. Since you introduced this, or rather, forced it on me, my browsing experience has been terrible. How do I turn off VPN? There is no VPN icon on my topolbar despite what your instructions say.

It is off by default unless you sign into your Mozilla Account and turn on VPN.

Firefox introduced a weather widget which I put on my homepage. It lasted one day and then went away. I toggle it on but it does not appear. When i asked why, the answer was that the VPN is blocking it. Also, in just the last 2 days, I keep getting messages from Google asking if it can access my location (it hasn't had to ask me that question in years). I reply YES, and set that as the default answer. It still keeps asking to access my location. This only began after I installed the latest Firefox. And, I have tried clicking on the VPN box (GET STARTED) and nothing happens. I can't turn the VPN on and I can't turn it off. If not the VPN, then SOMETHING is causing the sudden problems I'm having with Firefox, my Go-To browser, my ONLY browser for over 20 years.

The missing weather widget after upgrading v151 is a known issue that's being looked into. It's not related to the VPN.

Regarding Google asking for location permission, I suggest that you ask a new question for that.

Regarding the VPN Get started button not working, that's also a known issue, but it doesn't turn the VPN on. At the very least, the VPN is always turned off on restart, so even if something made it turn on, it's been turned off already.
