I found 'chromeasia.com' autocompleting in the Firefox address bar upon typing 'ch'. I searched History for this and there was no sign of it. I cleared all history data, rebooted, ran a disk cleanup and find that 'chromeasia.com' stil autocompletes upon typing 'ch' in the address bar.

Any suggestions or advice on how to clear this would be warmly appreciated. Thanks. Stephen

If you deleted the places.sqlite database, which removes all history, then it's difficult to imagine where Firefox is finding that host name. The database is rebuilt using the last bookmark backup. Any chance that site is your bookmarks somewhere?

The most frequently used features of the Places Maintenance extension were integrated into the Troubleshooting Information page, Places Database section, Verify Integrity button. See: Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.

Problem persists. I have tried the following - deleted all the 'places' folders in my profile (places.sqlite ect) - confirmed that this is NOT in my bookmarks - refreshed Firefox - rebooted

By the way this site https://kb.mozillazine.org/Locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite advises using an extension called Places Maintenance. This extension has been discontinued or removed by Mozilla.

Using 145.0

Thanks for that.
