Lots of text is suddenly a different font

more options

I was browsing a site when suddenly most of the text got almost unreadably small. I was just scrolling and I don't think I had my hand on the keyboard so I don't think I accidentally activated a shortcut. I checked on another site and I noticed it's now a different font than it was before. I tried reloading firefox and my laptop and it didn't change anything. What did I change? My default font setting is lora, which isn't the font things have changed to

For me, the resolution was disabling the extension "Facebook Container". As soon as that extension was disabled. The black text on a black background issue was resolved across the board (not just on Facebook).

Thank you for this tip! An update (version 2.3.4) was released a few hours ago which should fix it. Firefox should find it on a routine check, but to speed that up:

Open the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the right side, below the search box, there is a gear/wheel icon. Click that icon to drop the menu and then click "Check for Updates" to trigger an update.

Alternately, click Facebook Container to show its Details panel, scroll down below the description, and click "Check for Updates".

I have the same problem!

I have only noticed it on one site so far (the first site I always check). I tried restoring an old profile with "Firefox Backup" and the same thing keeps on happening.

I hope someone can help or a fix is found.

EDIT - This was my problem - https://www.reddit.com/r/firefox/comments/x8wjky/the_newest_version_of_facebook_container_addon/

Cheers

I have similar issue. Here you can see the difference between FF 104.01 & Google Chrome with "page zoom" 120/125 %. This issue comes today, yesterday both page font size was identical. Interesting that font size broke down not for all sites but only for several, such in screenshot above.

Also, I have black font on Github pages with FF theme, system theme & dark theme in settings. Only white theme is working fine now. This issue also comes today.

Something was broken in last FF update or what's going on?

Update (I don't know if posts can be edited? So I'm just leaving a reply): Some text that should be white is black, making a lot of sites' darkmodes almost unusable. Also, there's no issue on private windows

I am also experiencing the same issue as well as the text that should be white now showing as black. No change in extensions.
