https://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=3085958 Keep and read this. NOTE that Moz has disabled what they call the "easy way" in the Thread and that moving 2 Files is the current answer With FF profiles and likely WF. [ Just go to your profile and save the two files: "key4.db" and "logins.json". Then you can put them into any new profile.] I saw a post where he states WF uses key3.db and mine in FF is quite small vs key4.db. Don't know if 4 will work in WF but u can try.

With what Firefox version is your Waterfox compatible ?

Firefox 79+ comes with an export to CSV feature (78 needs a userContent.css hack). Firefox 80+ comes with an import from CSV feature (needs a pref flip).

Note that you can force a Firefox version that uses key3.db for the key file to use key4.db via an environment variable as support for SQLite is present since 2011.

I got the CSV file out Firefox 79 and onto the Desktop. Now how do I get it go from the desktop into Waterfox Classic 2121.11?

If your WF version isn't compatible with Firefox 80 or newer (i.e. supports importing CSV) then your only option is to copy logins.json and key4.db from the Firefox profile to the WF profile.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).

I managed to get 3 files out of Firefox 79: KEY3.DB, KEY4.DB and LOGINS.JSON. They are now on my Desktop. How do I get them to go from there into Waterfox Classic 2121.11?

P.S. I belive I set up a "sync" account by mistake. If I did, please delete it. Thank You.

Did you check whether you can import a logins CSV backup in Waterfox as that is the easiest way ?

See the note at the bottom of this article about how to enable import CSV in Lockwise via the about:config page.

You only need to copy logins.json and key4.db as a possible key3.db is likely too old to work with a current logins.json.

You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
