Using FF48-Linux17.3. Cannot access RT, Installed the Addon, no luck. Uninstalled Addon and FF several times, same problem. Now whenever I try to load rt.com, I get this: Our services aren't available right now

We're working to restore all services as soon as possible. Please check back soon. Ref A: 6C5CBE4AB28E46E0AD954BF4010DE917 Ref B: 40FD58B95D8A3B4921B5B7D7D4D26B30 Ref C: Sat Aug 27 07:28:37 2016 PST

I'm getting really sick of dealing with this. What's weird is that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

should I have used a different one?

It is somewhat unusual for a website to require an add-on, assuming with add-on you mean a Firefox extension. You haven't explained why you did install an add-on in the first place. Plugins are a different story though (e.g. Flash).

I have no interest in RT and I have no intention to visit that site.

I wasn't sure the addon would help. Other people were having the same problem, so I thought I'd try it. Didn't work, so I uninstalled it.

Doesn't sound to me like you are going to be much help.

I don't think I can follow your logic.

Assuming your problem is connecting to the site, did you follow the link posted above? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1136492#answer-910582

If it's working for anyone else contact your ISP.

Right after I installed FF48, I started to have trouble loading the RT website--insecure connection. So, here's what I tried: Reload page Cleared cache, history, cookies Restarted in SafeMode Uninstalled, reinstalled FF48

None of that did anything. Tried Google, other people were having issues with the RT website and had added the rt.com from the addons, that cured the problem. It was unclear to me if that was just for the website or for the streaming, but I figured if that didn't work I could just uninstall it. Sort of a HailMary pass kind of thing. Didn't work, so it's gone. Now, instead of the insecure connection, I get the gibberish that I put in my first post. What's driving me completely batty, is that it will load, but it's so erratic that I can't get any kind of a clue as to what the problem is. If I had to guess, I'd say it had something to do with the bookmark, but I can't be sure of that. I was hoping for some sort of patch.

I think I've found the problem. If you are interested in how and what, let me know (kind of long-winded).
