Have dell insiron 1525, windows vista 2pack, firefox has been saving everything, microsoft security essencials thankfully removed numerous firefox user profiles
Computer has a long history of crashing, tried pcpro recently, but got rid of it. MSE has it working by removing many firefox profiles for examination. Firefox says it stores 350md, I guess that is not too much. Any advise on removing unnecessary data or updating drivers for free would be appreciated.

Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL is the references I have for updating drivers.
As for necessary, you can start with a new profile with no addons and no cached content.
