I Pushed never remember password for this site. I Change my mind and would like Firefox to ask you to save usernames and passwords for this site, removed it from the exceptions list using the Security and passwords settings. Still don't come up. Several people seemed to have similar problems but didn't seem to come up with a solution. I tried out the list but didn't help. Don

If you choose "Never" then Firefox creates a block exception.

You can inspect and manage password permissions for all domains on the about:permissions page.

You can also find the Exceptions button in the "Options/Preferences > Security > Passwords" section.

I don't know if Firefox still shows a key icon at the left end of the location/address bar in this case.

Did you check the password exceptions window?

Are there any entries from this domain either in the Exceptions or "Show Passwords"?

  • Tools > Options > Security: Passwords: "Saved Passwords" > "Show Passwords"

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Never remember history).

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious. If you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

If you revisit a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

I did you check the password exceptions window it was empty. Under Privacy the setting is firefox will remember history. I have tried the Forget about this site, didn't help. I have saved several Passwords for other sites and they worked fine while working on this. I am afraid this is out of my league. I have got to quit on this tonight i will go through all of this again tomorrow.

I actually have tried the password editor before but i tried it again, No luck but I did notice that the first time I logged in to the website after using the editor it asked me for the master password just like it does on the websites where it does work. Even then it didn't fill in the username or password. I just hate to let something like this beat me,

The website might be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from filling form data like name and password automatically.

Firefox won't auto-fill saved form data automatically when autocomplete=off is used. Start typing the name to get a drop-down list.
