The bookmark will open in firefox and show the complete list, but as soon as it opens the mouse freezes and nothing works for a minute, almost like the system is looking for something? Then when I get mouse function back the scrolling of the bookmark is very slow at best? I have delete firefox version 41 and re-installed with no help. Anyone now having this isse?? Thanks!

Chosen solution

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues. You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.

Thanks for your help! So here was the solution, I had to turn off the "use hardware accelerator when available" icon in the "options' "advanced" section of Tools. So my question is WHY?? I have always had this selected as a default before with prior versions of Firefox which I have used for many, many years now. Why all of a sudden do I now have to disable it?? Thanks again

This is from Mozilla help files;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
