If you do decide to try Windows 10, make sure you backup your Firefox Profile - Just-in Case.

or use FEBE - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/febe/

hi maxguy8, as this is a forum about mozilla products, we cannot give you much advise about updating to windows 10 other than firefox fully supports windows 10 as well and will run fine on it... for more detailed questions about the update process you could ask in the microsoft forums at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=528873 though. thank you for your understanding!

phiipp Thank you for your response. Know this is a Mozilla forum but have gotten good support regarding other issue on this site. I am a very illiterate computer user and some times just like to check things out with people who are brighter than I am and some of the posted comments and statements on saw on this site were a little scary to me. didn't m3ean to waste anyone's time.

If WINDOWS 10 blocks you from setting FIREFOX as default browser- then simply go to your directory

probably: C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox

then RIGHT click firefox.exe and select to RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

You will then see firefox listed in available apps to set as default.

This just happened to me but I am running a Preview Build of Windows 10 so this may be getting everyone else soon.
