Firefox will not shut down, I am trying to uninstall it to fix a problem but the uninstaller says to shut it down even though I have nothing open.

I just ran the health report and it says Firefox has been open nearly 6800 minutes in July, I only use this computer maybe 2000 minutes a month, and browsing even less. How do you perform a hard shutdown of Firefox?

Thanks, I tried the task manager route and it did not show as running. Started in safe mode, removed firefox, restarted and did a fresh download. My issue is fixed.

Hi, try going to the 3-bar menu > Exit Firefox (in bottom right corner).

If that doesn't work, try from the PC's Task Manager, Ctrl + Shift + Esc then Applications tab and click on End Task.
