I am trying to register with Firefox and I just switched to using Ubuntu 14.04 from Windows. Please suggest some online schooling to learn Ubuntu and Gnome?

I want to learn Ubuntu - Linux and Mozilla Firefox to be able to use them correctly. I'M SURE that I need to study a lot and I'm up for that but don't want to be in school again for YEARS!! i would like suggestions on the best on line schooling or books in order to learn them at a somewhat accelerated pace. I probably need to learn how to use the terminal and Gnome but need HELP!!! Mozilla seems to have GREAT support and teaching materials. i think I'm now registered with Mozilla by asking this question but am looking forward to suggestions to learning Linux - Ubuntu 14.04 and Gnome terminal. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE!

Hi StepDrummer, I admire your initiative and I am happy to help. I am not an expert in Linux, but it will depend how you learn. If you are hands on, there are forums associated with each flavor of linux, The ubuntu forums I would suggest asking lots of questions or answering some of them: http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=326 If you like to read: https://help.ubuntu.com/

As for Firefox and Linux, mostly its trial and error. For the most part the interface is the same, its the install that can be a feit.

Hands on look for questions about linux:
