Hi, As I mentioned above [edited from public] @telus.net which is a gmail account has been acting strangely. "Recently my [edited from public] @telus.net account has stopped saving my sent messages. Also when I open an email it then disappears." I have checked the All and Important files but they are gone and I can't figure out what is happening. Any help in discovering why messages that I read disappear would be helpful. Thanks

I use to click on the links in my emails to go to the sender's website. Now they are no longer working. Are there any ideas on how to get the links working again?

I work with Fairway Ford in henderson tx with email <redacted>@fairwayfordtexas.com and am trying to get into my email up and going. I cant seem to figure out which port numbers to use and which servers. Can i get some assistance with this?

I have over 293K inbox emails. I recently received the notice from Yahoo that storage is being reduced to 20 GB. I would like to use Thunderbird to download all of my emails. However it i is showing only 10,000 inbox emails. What do I need to do such that all of my Yahoo Mailinbox emails are displayed in Thunderbird?

Email problem. Old Lenovo Desktop, Window 8.0 (I know, I know, but it's my wife's and all she uses it for is email and utube recipes, and she's used to it). I use it for some banking, mainly because the printer is on it. Tbird 115.18.0 (32 bit) -says it's up to date AVG antivirus free

Email through yahoo. It worked fine until, going by the last date it linked email, 10/30/25 at 06:45AM MST When I tried to download new messages Sunday 11/2, it failed.

It pops up a new window "Enter credentials for bababarb@yahoo.com on imap.mail.yahoo.com" In the address window is "https://login.yahoo.com/?src=thunderbird&client_id=(about a zillion characters) Then, in the message window is "Edge: Too many requests"

So, I did the troubleshooting as in Help article. I logged in on the webmail, signed in with the password, and was able to see the messages, many from after the 30th (she gets a ton of sorta spam).

Looking under Account setting> server settings, I find that the security is set to SSL/TLS and Authentication is set to OAuth2. Incidentally, these were set automatically when I set this to a yahoo.com address.

So, I try setting the Authentication to Password and request mail. I get a popup asking for the password. I enter it (the same password I used on webmail) and it replies "Login to server imap.mail.yahoo.com with username bababarb@yahoo.com failed."

Following suggestions on the help article, I got to Settings, and check "saved passwords". Then, again following the suggestions, I remove the yahoo password entry. According to the article, the next login attempt should ask for a password. It does not. I just get the "too many requests" popup. What the hell, I go back and remove the SMTP password, too. Same result.

Anybody else having this issue? Any suggestions?

After changing my settings for incoming and outgoing mail servers, Thunderbird still times out. Also, I changed the yahoo server settings to imap but the server type shows as POP. Is that causing the time out problem. Here are my current settings: Yahoo Server Type: POP Mail Server Server Name: imap.mail.yahoo.com Port 993 Username: dragracers@cox.net Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2 DOES NOT ask for account or anything else.

Why do I get alqays : enter your password for <redacted>@yahoo.de on imap.mail.yahoo.com I dont have an imap.mail.yahoo.com password!

Thunderbird is able to receive email but unable to send email. I have confirmed with my provider that I can send email through their web portal. Mail provider is Comcast. ISP is T-Mobile Virus is Bitdefender build 27.0.55.279 Windows 11 Thunderbird version 144.0.1 64bit SMTP settings attached

When I try to send an e-mail to my son's gmail account it is blocked saying the sender is unauthenticated. Error message says "Gmail requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM." What's the fix for this?

When trying to send a message via Yahoo Mail I get this error message: "Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: Request failed; Mailbox unavailable. Please check the message and try again."

I have no problem receiving e-mails via Yahoo.

I have another account set up under Thunderbird with a different e-mail provider and that works fine for both sending and receiving. I have tried various things but am at a loss as to what the problem is.

I have configured several Exchange accounts in Thunderbird via Exchange Web Services. All accounts work perfectly except for one. I was able to add this Exchange account without any problems, but after a few minutes, no new emails arrive.

I have an email from "Wells Fargo" that would auto forward to another email. I removed the forwarding to that other email but Thunderbird keeps forwarding that email each time WF sends an update. Do I need to delete the WF filters and restart Thunderbird or is there something deeper that needs to be done? Thanks for your help kenb

After years of using TB I suddenly lost ability to send messages though could still receive. At suggestion of outgoing message server PlusNet I changed various settings. Now my TB will neither send or receive. I wish to keep my care4free email address. How can I reinstall or recover TB? At present can only send or receive using webmail but do not find this equal to TB

I've been using thunderbird to view yahoo emails on my laptop for about 2 years. About 2 weeks ago I can no longer receive my yahoo.com emails on my laptop using Thunderbird. I can still receive the emails on my iphone. I receive an error message about entering my credentials, and another indicating authentication error. In settings>privacy>saved passwords there are no passwords listed. I don't know if there was a password before but emails have been working. Where do I look for email password setting, and the imap settings? I see outgoing settings but no incoming settings. Would it work to simply delete my thunderbird account and start over. Or would I lose my existing emails?
