Hello, I am receiving phone calls and emails from contacts in my current address book stating that my email has been hacked. Someone is sending them emails stating that my company has changed their ACH accounting numbers. I need to resecure my account and I have started by changing passwords, however, I am not receiving emails that are currently being sent to me. I assume those are being rerouted to whomever has hacked my account. Can you please advise on how I should proceed? Thanks

That window obfuscates that is it from Thunderbird not my trusteed web browser by omitting the title bar icon.
Worse, Google actually accepts and acts upon this password.
No user in their right mind should be giving their Google password to Thunderbird. No non-Google app in its right mind should be taking Google passwords.

I set up multiple Gmail accounts on TB, and all work as expected. I have turned off Win 11 telemetry and I use an always-on, kill-switch VPN. On TB, each of the outgoing SMPT servers is set to a different Gmail account.
Keeping in mind the settings, above: can Google determine somehow, through TB keys/OAUTH/data/settings etc., that the user of one Gmail account is the same user of another Gmail account?
Also, I can post this question to the separate Android blog, but if anyone here knows the answer to the same question with K-9 (F-droid version), I'd appreciate it.

This was functioning with the previous version of Thunderbird, but now my IT team requires additional information about what the app is trying to do with our Office 365 environment. The approval process is crucial because some apps may introduce security risks or seek extensive access to our Office 365 resources.

Hi, today I got this message at the end of a couple of my email conversations (with different recipients). I checked the webmail, I cecked my phone using outlook app, and my mac using Apple Mail, and that message isn't there, only in Thunderbird.
It is the last in the conversation but it is not actually an email, it doesn't have anything in the From or Subject fields, and the content of the message is this:

I have just completely reinstalled Thunderbird v115.11.1 after uninstalling the previous installation. There are two problems, possibly linked to a faulty or missing setting.
Remote images will not display, even after specifically enabling remote images for each email, or after turning on "display remote content" as a default. Also it claims there is a potential security threat with Thunderbird's own web addresses: "live.thunderbird.net." and "addons.thunderbird.net.".
I have attached screen-shots of the error messages, and of a thunderbird email that fails to display its images.

In Evolution, I can hit 'CTL/i' to view remote content in a message, in Thunderbird I have to either authorize a sender (which would then allow ALL of their remote content to be displayed), or use the mouse to allow the content on individual messages (a key-click is SO much more convenient).
Please save me scrolling through pages of shortcuts and just let me know if there is a shortcut key for this function in Thunderbird. Having to use the mouse is a minor annoyance, but it is absolutely an annoyance when one moves over from Evolution.

Lately TB is marking correctly emails as Junk and the red flame shows up. This is in my Inbox and does not automatically go to Junk Folder. This is checked in my Settings: These are all checked. Mark messages as read When manually marked as junk When Thunderbird determines that they are junk Enable adaptive junk filter logging But I have to manually delete them from the Inbox. I think TB use to show these and then send them to Junk. Whats wrong?

I have been powerless to stop them, Donald Ericson, and Forrest Kimmel has been using your platform thunderbird to attack my family for four years or longer. I need help because they have no intention to quit. Since I have updated to the newest version of TB, it is now a continiuous issue with "Not Responding". This is happening on three different computers with my mail accounts. I am using Godaddy (IMAP) as my mail service, and they now use Office 365. I did read in a post to add my profile to my firewall exlusion. This did seem to solve my issue, but I have since removed it as I am not sure it is safe. Is there any safety issue adding the profile to the firewall exclude.

we found such an oddity. We use a PGP key linked to the mageo.cz domain (the key is for addresses <somebody>@mageo.cz). Recently, importing a key in Thunderbird takes a very long time (the search on the keyserver is unreasonably long (tens of seconds) both when the key exists and when it does not exist). It seems to be some kind of anomaly only for this domain. For other domains, searching/importing the key is fast. A direct inquiry (through the www interface of the Hagrid keyserver) is dealt with promptly. The problem concerns only the search for the key via Thunderbird and only the mageo.cz domain

Is there any way that Thunderbird can help me by filtering my OUTGOING (SMTP) messages to make sure they include a specific code phrase? If they don't include the phrase, they should not be sent, and I should be informed that this misuse of my server is happening.
