Hi, we have two MACs in our workshop, one elder MAC running Thunderbird with POP connection and lots of local folders, I believe. We have a newer MAC fully setup and running Thunderbird with an IMAP connection - by customer. The customer wishes to transfer his older MACs local folders to the newer MAC without overwriting his profile already setup? I have a MAC- formatted USB stick at the ready, any ideas would be most helpful?

I just upgraded to Mac's latest OS 14.0 (Sonoma.) Thunderbird will not load. When I run the application I get a beachball and an "application) is not responding" message. I have tried rebooting and all the "typical fixes.)

Is there an update coming? Something that I can delete to make Thunderbird work?

I have two Windows 10 PCs, both running Thunderbird 115.3.0.

On one PC I have one account with POP3 and a few dozen entries that's been in use for several years.

I need to transfer just that single account to the other PC in a state that allows it to continue operating exactly as it had been in the original PC. I need to leave the other accounts (some POP3, some Gmail) working as-is.

I was using 68.0. Mail merge (Andreas Bergmann) quit working.

I upgrade to 115.0. Mailmerge does not pick up pdf attachments correctly.

How can I revert back to 68.0 or slightly earlier, to restore full mail merge functionality. And all my old email. (Yes I have backups...)

It appears that thunderbird has created some format changes that make it difficult to revert, (and on a personal note, the new UI is horrible, who dreams up forever moving box/buttons around?)

Hi, I started using Thunderbird recently to get my emails from Hotmail on my computer. I had Outlook 2010, but it is not supported anymore.

I noticed immediately that all my emails on Hotmail would show as read, but Thunderbird would show them unread, until I actually open them.

I have updated Thunderbird on various times and my current version is 115.3.0, but still the same issue. I have searched for solutions on the web and I do not have Bitdefender on my computer, that I know of, so the solutions I have seen, do not work for my case.

Is there any settings or scripts that I need to change in order for my Hotmail messages on show as read when I actually read them on the Outlook website?

Please help. Thanks, JD

Thunderbird appears to be installed and working correctly. I'd like to backup my profile and be able to repair it if needed. I installed Thunderbird 115.2.3 through the Windows App store. I believe that the program is actually installed at C:\Program Files\WindowsApps, which I cannot access even with elevated authority without disabling permissions I don't understand. I am reluctant to do this.

The Help > Troubleshooting Information page shows a < Open Folder > for my profile, but when I click it it says that C:/users/xxxxxxxx/Appdata/Roaming/Thunderbird/... doesn't exist. The File Explorer shows there is no C:\users\...\Thunderbird folder. How should I proceed?

Additional information:

I discovered this because I wanted to make a shortcut to put in my Startup folder (C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup) and couldn't find the program anywhere. There are 2 executable files ("*.exe") with a size of 0 bytes that I was able to find use to create a shortcut at: C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps C:\Users\xxxxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\MozillaThunderbird.xxxxxxxx It should be easy to create a shortcut for an executable.

Starting thunderbird at a command prompt to show the profiles says there are 2 profiles labelled < default-release > and <default >. default-release is highlighted.

1. see my screenshot - I have this little light blue bar only when i write a mail, it does not appear in other groups. How can I get rid of it? 2.my wish is to replace these 3 ?itmes /in dutch -opstellen, vorige, volgende/ from this left corner, as you see on the screenshot ,to the right corner.i can only replace these words in this group like vorige can be volgende as the last one of this line etc. how can i place this line to the right? 3.writing a mail - i open it and i do not add an address, subject or text and close it and what is strange – the system asks to save it. if everything is empty the system should not ask to save it, right? In my opinion, this is unnecessary.

I've just updated my current version of Thunderbird to 115 on my Mac using Ventura. It's installed, I put in my password and it just buffers. I can't use it at all.

I've tried to look for the 102.5 version to download and reinstall but I can't find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

During the upgrade to Thunderbird 115, my Gmail inbox disappeared under the unified Inbox folder at the top. I can find my Roadrunner accounts listed under the Inbox folder, but to get to my Gmail inbox, I have to go down the pane to the listed accounts, where all of the Gmail folders appear, including the inbox. I want all of my inboxes to appear under the Inbox folder at the top, just like the Thunderbird version I upgraded from. My Gmail account uses IMAP so that it works with Thunderbird.

Hi, I stupidly 'upgraded' from V102 to V115, which I immediately disliked. I managed to re-install V102, but it then said the profile was for a newer version. I had a backup from a few weeks ago, and copied all the top-level files over. So I got all my setup bacvk and all seemsed fine, but have just seen that my address book is messed up.

I had lots of important 'contact lists' (about 10), they have all disappeared. I only see "Outlook Express..." (imported ages ago) and "Collected Addresses", the main section, and the sub-lists are all missing, and I have lost years of addresses for my business.

I have the abook.sqlite backed up on 13th Sept, but can't open or use it to check what's in there. I tried importing, but got as 'fail'

Unable to downgrade Thunderbird after failed TB Supernova installation

Hello, I have many email accounts,Win10 64 bit. I made a backup copy of my default profile and then I upgraded to Supernova, the upgrade seemed succesful, but one of my POP accounts was never polled when downolading emails, Thunderbird skipped retrieving emails from that account. So I downgraded to 102.15.1 64 bit. But it says that the default profile could not be used because a newer version of TB could have modified it, so it forced me to create a new profile. But in the new profile I lost almost everything: sent emails, received emails, filters, archives. The only thing good is that TB 102 remembers the name of mail servers, so I did not have to configure them again. But I had to download again from the server some 6000 emails (I leave the emails on POP servers for some months, for security reasons), but I lost all sent emails and more. So my old, default profile is useless. What to do?

If I try to import it in Supernova it gets error: Uncaught (in promise) NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND: Component returned failure code: 0x80520012 (NS_ERROR_FILE_NOT_FOUND) [nsIFile.copyTo]

I have spoken to my ISP and its confirmed, as have I, that I can log on to its website and successfully download my emails so the problem "must" lie with Thunderbird. I am not very technically inclined so would appreciate some advice please, thank you. My ISP technical person (at iiNet Australia) did say they were receiving a lot of phone calls today about email and "blamed" it on changes to Outlook? If this helps. Regards.
