For some reason, every time I log in to Gmail and start writing a name in the email column, just after writing 2 characters, Firefox immediately freezes. I've reinstalled, I've cleared all data (browsing history, cookies and cache), I've reset, but the problem still exists. But if I log in with another account, Gmail can be accessed smoothly.

I can't figure out how to open an url like "http://fritz.box" or "192.168.178.10.1". Either Firefox starts a search or auto completes the address to "https://fritz.box". This address can not be resolved locally. If anyone happens to read this and could help me please, I just want to open the configuration page of my router. And I can't do it with Firefox for Android - so it seems. Thank you for your time!

San Francisco Chronicle e-paper does not display correctly in FF for Android, and often other browsers. Some pages will not scroll below the initial window, but when page is clicked and opened, then closed, the page may display correctly. Very annoying.

This has been going on for at least several weeks. SF Chron support escalated the issue to their tech dept (not on site), which claimed that the problem is FF, not them. … (read more)

While browsing www.youtube.com, the site is not running smoothly. When I'm scrolling in the YouTube homepage, it's like cutting in the middle. On the other hand when watching YouTube shorts, when scrolling to a new video, it's like jumping and then loading, which seems extremely inconvenient. Overall the YouTube site is not working properly in Firefox mobile (Android 13). Note: I have tried the cookie delete option. Still persistent.

Hi all,

I recently got a Tab P11 Pro (2nd Gen) (8GB 256GB). I believe with the following specs:

  • MediaTek Kompanio 1300T (8C, 4x A78 @2.6GHz + 4x A55 @2.0GHz)
  • Integrated ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU

However, I'm getting 'hardware acceleration' errors with roll20, the roleplaying site, in Firefox.

If I try to launch a game in Firefox, roll20.net gives such error, and the site is not rendered at all.

I then tried Firefox Beta. Better, but I get an error that hardware acceleration is not enabled. The menu in the game is then rendered incorrectly.

On Chrome, the site is rendered, but the menu is way off to the right, similar to Firefox Beta.

Is there a setting in one of the flavours of Firefox on Android which I can turn on to activate hardware acceleration? I would have thought the tablet is powerful enough to use that. If anyone has any ideas what is going on, would appreciate it,

P.

When using the Firefox app, I'm able to use voice input from my Google keyboard as with any other app. But if I begin private browsing, then I can only use voice input in the address bar, not on any websites. For example, of I'm typing a post on a forum or using google.com in private browsing, I get the message "This app doesn't support voice input." Surely there is a way to enable this?

Dear all,

I am currently developing a page with an integrated 3D-Model. You can have a look at it here: https://kuchatest.saw-leipzig.de/cave/73 Cklicking 3D-Model, you will open the rendered 3D-Model. In mobile devices, the Orientation in the model is done by devicemotion. Everything works fine, except in firefox for android. Here, the gyroscope is somehow delayed a lot. Are you aware of this problem? On my test page, you also see alpha beta and gamma as variables displayed above the 3D-model. Here you see very well, that the event is firing quiet frequently, yet the variables are updated correctly way to late.

It looks to me like a bug and it would be great, if you could look into it.

Sincerely,

Erik
