Default search engine always reverts back to DuckDuckGo

Hi! For 2 weeks now I cannot permanently set a default search engine. I've always set Brave as my default search engine in settings. All of a sudden this was changed to DuckDuckGo by Firefox without my knowledge. I can change it back to Brave, but as soon as Firefox is cleared from memory it will revert to DuckDuckGo. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior? As it is now I cannot use Firefox when I always need to change the settings before using it.

There seems to be a problem with the display of the setting menu.

When I click on the settings menu, the menu seems to be indented and deformed once. This phenomenon has only appeared in recent versions. I'm not sure whether this is rel… (read more)

When I click on the settings menu, the menu seems to be indented and deformed once. This phenomenon has only appeared in recent versions. I'm not sure whether this is related to my login status or the size of my mobile phone screen.

Cannot find any studies-related solution in existing community Q&A except for one that says to toggle the switch to opt out, which isn't an option for me.
