I recently moved from a Firefox fork that supports Classic Theme Restorer to one that doesn't. Sigh. It was however a relief to discover that I could make most of the same UI changes myself with a bit of effort. The only major customization remaining is a traditional "page loading" animation in the right corner of the address bar, preferably a swirly or moving dots animation and not the hourglass or ping-pong dots. How is this do-able with current builds? Thanks.

i had a problem with my java on my windows 7-- 64 bit computer i put a a 64 bit java and put in the websites URL THE SECURITY ON THE JAVA problem was set on low when i go to the web site ( k3fef sdr the web site tell me i do not have the JAVA program and will not open up any ideas thank you gregory oidar7295@optimum.net

Hi there , I am interested to know if Mozilla support group is aware of the problem Microsoft update KB4474419 causes? I am running widows 7 sp1. I installed the update as you mentioned in your Firefox 100 release notes. After reboot , I got a beep and a black screen - win 7 won't start. I had to find a way to delete the update so I could boot my system back. I asked few of my colleagues that use the same OS and they experienced the exact same problem. Surfing the web , makes it quite clear - this update is faulty and not compatible with win 7 as Microsoft claims. I would like to get a straight answer - can I update my FF99 to FF100 , without the notorious KB4474419 , or , as of FF100 , win7 sp1 is no longer applicable to Firefox ? Thanks. look4

Hi All,

For some reason my tab icons look a little low, and I would like them more vertically centered.

I've been trying to move these icons around using some older code that doesn't seem to work anymore.

The code below no longer has any effect.

Does anyone know how to move the tab icons up 1 pixel?

I'm using the OneTab add-on, Enabled. The icon no longer shows on the Toolbar, though it is on the Menu bar next to Firefox View.

I ran Remove and then Added it again, hoping the Toolbar Icon would reappear = no go, And I lost all URLs already saved, stupid me. To be clear, clicking the Icon on the Toolbar saves all open tabs.

Is there a fix via Preferences? Thanks. gw

I was trying to change some settings on Firefox and I accidentally closed it and lost all of my tabs. I have the setting enabled to open tabs from last browsing session, but I was messing with the extension OneTab and I lost my open tabs.

Just to be clear, it wasn't the fault of OneTab, this is was my fault for closing Firefox too quickly when it was restoring my tabs and I didn't allow it to finish.

Anyway, in attempting to recover my tabs, I have restored from backup my "sessionrestore-backups" folder; this didn't work. I have also restored my entire Mozilla folder in my profile; this also didn't work.

I also tried following this article (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-restore-browsing-session-backup), but the sessionstore.jsonlz4 file doesn't exist. I did a search for this file in my profile and it doesn't exist anywhere.

Does anyone have any ideas that may help?

tell me whether i can find a window i closed today having multiple tabs, using "history" and recently closed tabs/windows (both). i especially want to be able to restore the tab for Institute for the Study of War and its companions. i hope you are warm and rested.

to do my regular research, i have lost three or four (or more) windows with multiple tabs, as a result of my reorganizing tabs. i think of each window with one of its tabs, so these would be, "Emma Loop" (which includes all federal court districts tabs and related info); "Kyle Griffin" (which includes various journalist/news tabs); "emptywheel" (which includes various journalist/news tabs); and other such similar windows whose name ID i don't remember.

restore scares me because it will apply to bookmarks.

i recently began migrating from twitter to mastadon, and wanted to add my regular tabs to mastadon. i moved tabs to keep track, but it seems the tab's parent windows disappeared. i cannot be more clear, because i had a total of about 15 windows with multiple tabs EACH. i regularly exited the program to install updates and because of my settings, all the windows/tabs were saved correctly. this is a great feature.

it takes time to create a window with multiple tabs, and i don't have much of a brain, so it's hard for me to learn new stuff. maybe we can work together to clarify what i need. i just want my "lost" windows/tabs to return to the others so i can continue going forward. i blame this guy - the "new twitter owner" - who has even made changes to UKRAINIANS' account performances. thank you.

I have the latest FF browser. I'm not using any proxy service, just spectrum connection. when i try to access my credit union account, i get this message

"Error: "WWF2TUh4dnM=" - You're using an outdated browser or are using a Proxy service which is unsupported. Please update your browser or turn off your Proxy to continue, thank you."

how can i get past this? All help appreciated!

Lately when opening something in full screen it shows the background as sort of a frame around it. The dark blue at the top is the header background colour I use. It's really annoying. I can't tell if it happened in a recent update as those happen automatically. But it's just been the past few days. I use 113.0 (64) right now. I'm sending a screenshot of how it looks.

Long-time problem: Running Firefox 115.6.0esr (64-bit) on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-bit). Viewing "CNN live" in one tab. Mutes if I open any another app/window [Login to website #1 [CNN live] and view/listen...Open anything else; CNN mutes] (Note- This happens in both Firefox and Chrome) Any ideas/suggestions for how to avoid this behavior? Despite trying to disable https mode, Firefox will not allow ordinary http sites to load. Consequently I can't access most of the Australian Bureau of Meteorology (bom.gov.au) pages or any other websites that don't use the extra 's' but are still secure. Mozilla suggested switching from Strict back to Standard but I still can't access ordinary http sites. Can anyone help, please?

I just updated from Firefox 96.0.3 to Firefox 97. When I try to print I get the Firefox preview, even though I have print.tab_modal.enabled set to false. Please fix it so that I can get the print system dialog without going via the Firefox preview. Note that I have now reverted to Firefox 96.0.3 and won't update from this unless the problem is fixed.

Ever since doing a refresh of FF two days ago, Yahoo mail doesn't work. I'm able to log in but contacts are missing and I cannot refresh the page without getting "The page isn’t redirecting properly." To log back in I have to either shut down FF (my settings are to clear cookies on shutdown) or clear cache or history every 5 minutes. I have not changed my extensions or other FF settings I had before the refresh. I have cleared cookies, cleared cache, added yahoo to the cookie exceptions list and nothing helps.

Is there a way to replace the navigation icons on the context menu with their text-only counterparts?

I've tried the following code segments which provide less-than-optimal results.

This one which worked in FF 88, now removes the icons, but leaves 4 blank buttons in a row with no text...

#context-stop image,
#context-bookmarkpage image {display: none !important;}}

This one completely removes the options, but I would like to keep them, and replace them with their text counterparts

}

Please see attached images for the before and after of what I'm trying to achieve.

Might be nice to have the blank icon column to the left of these 4 items so they all line up with the items below, but I can live without that if it's not possible.

For some time now I have been having trouble with viewing you tube video's. At times the video freezes or just sort of locks up. But, I don't have the same problem with other browsers, Chrome, Brave. So, it just seems with Firefox this issue pertains. Can some one please help so I don't experience the Firefox you tube problems. Thank you.

In other browsers and on my phone the website opens properly.

Can't select for 'New Folder' in 'Chose' when I bookmark. 'New Folder' is not highlighted. The window says 'Quick Bookmarks is disabled. Is that the problem? How do I enable it?

Until the most recent update of Firefox, I was able to access atrribute data of a GIS map feature on the GIS Open Data, State of Michigan website:

Now, I can not click on any feature. I can do this, however, using Chrome. What is the issue, here?
