I turn that off and still no Twitter and your system turns it back on again all by itself, your settings are doing what they want to do, not what I SAY to do. Now, I cannot get into Twitter.

I open Firefox, my browser, then I type in the site I want to open. It opens fine, however, when I try to open another site I want to open nothing happens except a little dot in front of the requested site keeps going back and forth, but nothing opens. I then have to close the browser, re-open the browser and key in the site I want. WHY? What am I doing wrong. Please keep in mind that I am not a computer savvy person and don't understand much about them. I do know however that Firefox used to work on my computer before update 150 and 151 were downloaded without a hitch. I have tried everything I could think of to fix the problem without success. I am beyond frustrated and need this fixed.

Recent builds have changed the way that the user can direct queries to the various search engines that can be added (i.e. eBay, Wikipedia, IMDB etc) - to a new configuration that is awkward and forces more clicks.

Here is the method that currently allows reverting to the previous approach :

in about:config

Set string "browser.search.widget.new: to false

... and to delay automatic deletion of engines set "browser.search.widget.removeAfterDaysUnused" to thousands

Posting this for increased visibility for folks encountering the issue and in the hopes that Mozilla will consider not degrading a well-performing interaction pattern

So I just upgraded my pc and it bricked my windows and to reinstall, I forgot to save the Firefox data before doing so because I thought it wouldn't cause any issue, well, now all my bookmarks etc. are gone and I'm wondering if there is some sort of backup somewhere saved by Mozilla in the cloud.

Currently, my Firefox Browser continues operating under Windows 10, without a known Windows 11, operating Browser update correction! Is there a solution to this problem?

I contacted Mozilla Support and was issued a ticket ID that is 438455!

Sometimes, for no apparent reason, on my Win 11 ASUS laptop, Firefox will suddenly use a lot of resources, such that the temperature jumps from about 50 degrees to 95 degrees and the fan runs full speed. It appears the only way to stop it, is to close FF then reopen. What might cause that?

I also have an unanswered previous question about being unable to pay accounts.

My folders suddenly stopped loading. When I log in, I can see grey boxes down the left hand side where my folders used to be. It looks as if the folders are trying to load, then the grey boxes disappear and all I see is in the screenshot I have attached.

I have followed the instructions GMX provides. Cleared the cache, etc. Those didn't solve the problem. The second attachment shows instructions that showed when I did an online search. Please ignore the second suggestion regarding Thunderbird. If these instructions refer to gmx settings, I cannot access them as you see by the first attachment, there is no way I can access gmx settings. The icons you can see only change how my inbox contents are displayed. If the instructions refer to email settings within FIREFOX, I am still stuck as I can find no help within FIREFOX on GMX settings that deal with these settings. I cant use firefox to connect to mail.com. I can connect by other browsers just not with firefox. Server Not Found

when searching from the address bar (see picture) the first result (before firefox suggests) is not a bookmark and not history. what is it and how do i get rid of it? I want bookmarks to always be the first result. I just went through the library and it doesn't appear in history/bookmarks. thank you

Firefox keeps shutting down and it will open up when I tap on the icon. I have to reload it to make it work, It seems like I have to do this everytime I shut the pc.

All of a sudden I have had problems getting into my gmail or anything Google through Firefox. I have tried deleting cookies and it would work. Now it will not work at all. What has Firefox done? How can I fix this?

is it possible to get a button or a shortcut to toggle the option full-screen-api.ignore-widgets without using about:config? An addon is not possible I guess because it is an internal option addons shouldn't have access to this.

Where did the option to "Translate Page" go? I remember Firefox had it for a while listed as a experimental feature. Did it fail? Or are they still working on it and took it away temporarily?

I have been trying to trouble shoot, checking my volume settings, disabling ad blocker, etc, but nothing is helping.

I tested the URL in TOR and Chrome browsers which I installed on my laptop, the audio works AOK on those.

FF has been my browser of choice since it was launched, so I'd really appreciate if someone can suggest what the Audio issue might be.
