As of around 1 week ago, I can no longer access facebook, any mozilla/google related page however I can still access the google search engine by entering the 197.1.1 code thing (not very pc literate).
My problem is whenever I type google.com or facebook.com into the url, nothing actually happens, the url looks like it seeking than it just revert back to whatever url I was on before. I can access youtube but the comments section is just loading but thing actually shows up. If I try to open firefox help page a new window would open but it is just blank even though I can see the see the address in the url. I can however open trouble shooting page and about firefox but none of the others page in the help option.
I have tried reverting firefox to default and restart firefox with no addon without any changes. I have tried ipconfig /flushdns and also resetting my host file from mrfixit as well as scanning for malware from malbytes, adaware and spybot and none of them made a difference at all.
I am currently using firefox 26, OS Windows 7 64bit.

Hi, after a bit of head scratching, I realized that the Firefox option to Warn if page attempts to redirect, seems to be broken.
I am getting no warning message that a redirect was attempted.
I am using the FF 25.0.1 and it is up to date as the latest.
I am using this on XP SP3.
If I turn off Warn if page attempts redirect all is well. But if it is turned on, there is no warning message, this leaves users sitting on a page unaware that they should be somewhere else.
It has the effect of breaking a websites normal operation.
IP camera live feeds don't work, nor do any pages that are supposed to constantly update.
I just noticed this after all the error pages on all sites stopped going back to the index page. Not just one site, I could blame me if that were the case. Then I thought maybe the change to PHP 5.4, and started searching for this error and ended up looking at FF. So, then I tried and turned of warn if redirect is attempted, and the sites work normally.
Without the message, we are blind to what is going on.
What has happened to the warning message?
Am I the only person with a missing warning on a redirect or refresh attempt?

I take care of a club website. Firefox use to allow me to upload pictures to the site, then stopped. It says supported files types (they are all jpg pictures) when it takes me to "my pictures" (which is only the file itself, not the pics in the file). When i open the file to grab the pictures there is nothing there. But when i back it up the file is still there and i cannot grab it either.
So i went back to internet explorer and it has worked until tonite.
Now it doesn't work either.....

2- run search in this folder with advanced options (+search system folders, +search hidden files and folders, +search subfolder) in the SEARCH FOR FILES OR FOLDERS: ".js" and CONTAINING TEXT: "appspot"
3- it should find a file "OVERLAY.JS" ****MAKE A COPY SOMEWHERE ELSE**** right click and choose EDIT (if edit not avalible OPEN WITH - NOTEPAD)
4- Select everything between " this.STATUS_BAR = "status-bar"; // firefox 3.6 and below " and " // stringbundle consts " and delete
5- Now press CTRL-F or EDIT--Find and search all the instances of " b.selectedTab = b.addTab(self.TY_PAGE_FULL_PATH); " DELETE ALL THE QUOTED CHARACTERS OR YOU WILL NOT BEABLE TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING

Hi, I have requirement to embed youtube video on the webpage. But, when I try the same with <object width="420" height="315" data="http://www.youtube.com/v/XGSy3_Czz8k"></object> This does not work and it shows message as "A plugin is needed to display". How should we fix this?

I have been having trouble opening many web pages on Mozilla Firefox. Eventually I get the dreaded "The Connection was Reset." I have tried updating the browser, resetting Firefox, disabling extensions, opening in Safe Mode, but these do not work. The only thing that seems to work is if I close out the browser completely, reopen it again, go to this same web page again and it will open. Please help. It is very frustrating to have this continually happen. Many web pages open right away, but many have this same problem on my PC. I have updated to the latest version at the moment, 33.0. I have a Dell PC running Windows XP. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'd rather not have to start using Internet Explorer. Thanks for your help. This even occurs when I go to update Firefox. No data is transmitted. So I quit Firefox, reopen it, and then the download works.

When I do that I notice the "Continue" button is superimposed on the pictures of the cars and then when I try to click on the "Continue" button, I get a circle with a diagonal slash mark through it. Yahoo won't help me with this until I pay money. This problem started when their pay for phone tech program started. Please help!

Firefox crashed (causes don't matter) . Ok, next time I open firefox all the cache is deleted even if all the cache was still there in the cache folder. Every time this happens it's a headache because you have to load the pages again. When it happened again I tried to copy the files from the cache folder elsewhere. Then after firefox had deleted the cache close the browser and replace the new cache files with these old ones. checked firefox and it didn't work, firefox deleted everything again or ignored it and used the last session cache.Tried again, this time with the cache folder and later, the profile folder, same result. Is there a way to back up the cache after a browser crash? or to prevent it's deletion?

When playing audio with the "Listen" button at bottom-left of google translate website box, the "text-to-speech" audio sound is rough like it have latency issue or breaking sound or the sound is choppy as in the sound don't flow smoothly but when I download the audio file .mpeg from Web Developer -> Network then play it on Media Player Classic (CCCP) it have no issues but the problem is how to fix it so that FireFox can play it smoothly?
I already tried "Safe Mode" FireFox but it does not solve it, videos with sound like YouTube videos or DailyMotion videos or YouKu videos or NicoNicoDouga videos all have no issues with sound, all is smooth sound playing, only at the google translate website for the "text-to-speech" I experience any audio sound issues.
Please help!

I use Firefox to do work online; It has been working fine up until yesterday and I cannot open files anymore off one of the websites I use. I tried using my laptop with Firefox and it works fine still but not on my desktop. Other browsers work such as Chrome but I prefer Firefox since I use macro Pro Express which works better in Firefox. Not sure why the program is not allowing me to open files anymore as of yesterday afternoon.
