I did a Firefox restore due to suspect browser hijack ( it wasn't). All mu saved logins have been eraases so tried to do a manaul sync.
This pops up a yellow bar along the top of the "Logins and Paswords" page saying "Please enter your master password to view saved logics and passwords" . I don't have a master password set so that makes little sense. To the right of the yellow bar is a button "login". if i click the button ther yellow bar goes away but there is no log in dialog.

Firefox has become completely unusable for me because it has become very slow. It was fine on this computer (newer i7, 32GB ram, ssd) last weekend but not this. It is actually happening on two different computers. It becomes impossible to type (echo is seconds and windows reports that the application is not responsive).
However sysinternals procexp doesn't report anything much unusual for the computer as whole or FF. Speed test shows that my internet connection is fine and Chrome is working normally
I have paired sync down to only bookmarks and add-ons of which there are only 5.
The problem may be due to sync - FF seems to perform normally in safe mode or before it has asked for the master password.
I have a beef with visibility around sync - it doesn't seem to be possible to see how often it is running, how much data it is sending, how many disk writes are happening.
I am submitting this report from Chrome because FF is unusable.

Hello, i just changed HDD to SSD in my laptop, installed new Windows, instaled Firefox, logged in, it says synced, but i dont have my bookmarks, history, tabs, nothing.
If i look into Manage acccount -> Devices and apps -> There is current device synced and also previous device synced few hours ago, but nothing from previous device is synced. Before i wiped old HDD i checked everything, so all was synced (tabs, bookmarks, ...). When i did just system reinstal last time, it was syncing correctly.
Thank you for help.

I have several system that all use Firefox and are configured to use sync. All of them, but this one sync fine. The one with the issue is on a RHEL 7.5 host and is running FireFox 52.8.0. Backing up to a json or html file will save all my bookmarks except for the mobile ones I sync between my laptop and my phone. The jsonlz4 file in my profile folder also does not save mobile bookmarks. Sync by itself is usually enough to preserve all my bookmarks, but I made the mistake of installing FF ESR alongside regular FF which screwed everything up; it would have been nice to have had my complete bookmarks backed up at that point, so I could have restored all of them.
Btw, my laptop browser is spoofed: I'm using FF 60.0.1 on Linux Mint; I'm syncing my laptop with my android phone (FF 60.0.1 also).

I signed into Sync across 3 devices. When I visit about:preferences?entrypoint=menupanel#sync in one device, the other 2 devices are not shown. Clicking "Connect another device" does not do anything even if I've signed in across other devices. However, going to "Manage Account" brings me to accounts.firefox.com and shows me all 3 devices when I expand "Devices & apps".
So I know that all my devices are linked to my account, but it's like they don't see each other. Pressing "Sync now" does nothing, and it says my last sync was January 1. I just installed Firefox across 2 of the devices today. The Synced Tabs sidebar is also empty.
I checked about:sync-log, and I've been getting this error: ERROR Sync encountered an error: Error: Can't sync: Network is offline
Clearly, my network is online as I am able to post this. Firefox Sync's service status is also UP/AVAILABLE. Not sure what else could be wrong here.

I'm in France and I wanted to use Firefox Sync for the first time. I had to insert the phone number in order to add a second device and the system had already filled the form with +33 that is the international prefix for french numbers. The problem is that I don't have a french phone number and I wanted to use another prefix but it is impossible. I tried using 00 instead of plus or directly without the prefix but I always get as answer that "the phone number is invalid". Could someone help me to understand which is the rule used to validate the phone number? Thank you in advance.

I logged into my Firefox account succefully but however I can't sync my data. When I hover mouse pointer over my account name in the main menu the hint appears saying that the last sync was performed on the 1'st of January but nevertheless I don't see that my bookmarks, settings and extensions were synchronized. I used to use Xmarks, and Xmarks had a lot more control over syncing. You could force upload (overwrite server) and force download (overwrite local), for one thing - that could often be used to fix sync issues. You could also view your server bookmark list online (via web).
How can I troubleshoot this? Or how can I force a sync?
