Sat. 04/19/2025 @9:10 am CDT - Hi. About 2 months ago on any Settings page, FF began to show "your browser is being managed by your organization." The problem is - it's a STANDALONE box, not connected to any network beyond my ISP. I do own websites but I'm not perpetually logged into the host company, so their switch to Microsoft Entra wouldn't have an effect, I would think.

What settings do I change to make FF know that I'm not on a network? Thanks in advance.

I don't understand why whatever team that works on Firefox removed keybind settings from Firefox, based on what I have read trying to find a method, keybind settings used to be a thing and then just got removed.

Now I'm sure you have heard everything about this, but have you considered that on your march to the most secure and safe browser, that adding settings for keybinds might be better than having the users crawl the internet for whatever app, shady or not, they can get their hands on to fix it for them. Possibly breaching their safety in the process over a simple setting.

Personally all I want is to disable the keybind for muting tabs, as its the same keybind I use to mute on many other programs, and as such is quite annoying.

(Now if I am somehow wrong and there are keybind settings hidden away, accessible to me without breaching my safety, I welcome you to share.)

I want to pin a Firefox website to my taskbar in Windows 11. I can create a shortcut for the website on my desktop but when I try moving it onto my taskbar, it doesn't get added (get the dreaded circle with the line through it) and right-clicking on it does not give me an option to "add to taskbar" like other browsers do.

I thought I had too many pins on my taskbar so I deleted one and then tried to add the shortcut, but get same error.

I tried adding a random app to my taskbar by right clicking on the app and using the "pin to task bar" option and it works perfectly.

So, what is the secret to adding a Firefox website url to my taskbar????

I'm on v137 on Windows 10.

I cannot play my Unifi camera videos because they require HEVC. I thought v134 and higher had HEVC support?

There were some mentions of needing to get the HEVC codec from the Windows Store, but I could also not locate that from Microsoft either.

Under about:support, it says HEVC is Unsupported. What am I missing?

I searched this question in your "support" section It has been asked many times but no answer has been given. In addition the community forum site itself says that 0, 1 or 2 people have this problem when there are many more posts about exactly this problem. Google doesn't seem to be happy about my using Firefox as my browser and now send me directly to their page on cleaning up cookies, etc. When I go to settings in Firefox I get the "Your browser is being managed by your organization" message, but just like the many others who have commented in the community forum, I don't have an organization to manage my browser and I can't even seem to find out what organization Firefox thinks is managing my browser. How do I regain control of my Firefox?
