When using Google Meet in Firefox browser, I am only able to share my window, not my screen. When I choose "share screen", it says I must change my permissions - but my permissions settings have not changed and this is a problem I have started having only in the last few days.

I do not know where I am supposed to change these permissions settings.

I have checked my permissions in settings > privacy & security > permissions - there is nothing there about screen sharing.

I have checked my permissions in padlock > connection > more information > permissions and the only options I have for screen sharing are "always ask" (default), which is set. The only other option I have is "block" which is not set.

My Firefox browser is up-to-date.

Can anyone help? Thanks!

We have noticed that opening a Microsoft Teams meetings link in Firefox does not open pop-up window asking the user to allow microphone access. Reopening the link in new tab without closing the Firefox causes the pop-up window to appear (sometimes it takes more then two tries). If one closes the Firefox and then reopens the link, the permission pop-up window will not be shown.

Is this a known issue? Can we expect this issue to be resolved in the near future?

Currently we use Firefox version 128.5.1esr (64-bit) and Windows 10 (22H2) on our computers.

I use google meet at work. Up until recently, things were working ok. Starting a few weeks ago (there were updates both to MacOS and Firefox), when I was in a meeting, the other side couldn't hear me even though meet said that my microphone wasn't muted. I then switched the meeting to Safari, and had no problems. I also noticed that when the remote party did a presentation, it did not show up when running on Firefox, but switching to Safari it worked. This is clearly a bug (or a miscoordination between Firefox and MacOS). Has anyone else encountered this? I'm running on a M4 MacBook running MacOS 15.3.2 and Firefox 136.0.1

I can sign on to zoom but I get a message to say that my Browser is not allowing my microphone or video to be displayed. I have used zoom for a number of years and never had this issue before

Hello everyone! I’m writing to asking for help about an issue with the camera not working on Mozilla Firefox during video calls. When I try to join a Google Meet session, I receive a message asking me to grant camera permissions - even though the permissions are already enabled both in the browser and my computer’s settings.

Interestingly, the camera works perfectly fine on other browsers like Google Chrome, so the issue seems to be specific to Firefox. I’ve already checked the following:

- Camera permissions are all allowed for Google Meet in Firefox; - The system settings (Windows) permit Firefox to access the camera; - No other applications are blocking the camera. I know that 'cause I'm using this camera on WhatsApp and TikTok Live Studio.

Could y'all please help me resolve this? I’d appreciate any troubleshooting steps or fixes you can provide.

PS.: The images are written in portuguese. But it's all how I told you before.

Hello I use Kahunas as an online coaching app. I am trying to make video messages but every time I try there is a pop up saying that permission is denied. I went into the firefox settings under privacy and checked the permission tab. It doesnt show any pages have recently tried to use it and it does nothing when I try and add the web address in the search field.

I blocked it for a quick second. I had no idea it would be a multi hour nightmare to get it back on, and it still isn't. Why? Well because the "help link" page no longer exits, ratherthe page that the image that it shows no longer exists. You don't have the option to turn it back on, and why in the hell would I have to go to firefox settings to turn it back on to begin with.

I literally just now figured it out. Holy fuck. For me anyway.

Go into discord settings and click on the voice & video and hit "let's check". Click yes when it asks to allow permission.

I'm just so damn glad someone got butthurt earlier and erased my post. You're fucking trash for doing that.

Hopefully this is actually helpful to folks having problems. I'm not a butthurt little bitch like the folks that look over this site. I actually help.
