When I login I must enter the verification code that firefox send to my email. The problem is that I receive the email after 20 minutes and the code expire after 5 minutes. Thia happens with all firefox versions : linux, windows & Android

I opened Private window in Firefox desktop browser for Mac, to login to gmail account. After few minutes of usage, I closed the Private window. When I opened a new Private window the 2nd time and open gmail.com, I could see I am not signed out of the gmail account. This is breach of privacy and highly unacceptable.

Why is my account still logged in, even while using Private window? What if I was using this in a public computer? Utterly scared now of my privacy and security in using Firefox.

I cannot add a secondary email or change my primary email without a code but my primary email was deleted by the company after my free trial ended.

I’m still logged into my account on the app but I had to delete and reinstall the desktop version because FireFox glitched and wouldn’t open.

I don’t know if the photo of the company saying my email no longer exists when I try to log in shows up, doing all of this on my phone.

I installed Rust on my laptop and want to browse to the documentation which is installed at file:///home/lochlann/.rustup/toolchains/stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/share/doc/rust/html/intro.html. I try to open this in Firefox and this fails with the message: Access to the file was denied

The file at /home/lochlann/.rustup/toolchains/stable-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/share/doc/rust/html/intro.html is not readable.

   It may have been removed, moved, or file permissions may be preventing access.

I have read permissions on the file. No matter, it fails. I try to open the file using Firefox and navigate the directory structure rather than typing in the location. The file opens in the browser, the location is listed as file:///run/user/1000/doc/1f137432/index.html. Can you explain to me why Firefox cannot render a file that is where i put it and has appropriate permissions yet can render the same file where I did not put it? I have always been a fan but this looks more like a virus than I am comfortable with.

Help continuously mentions something about clicking a "shield" to the left of the address bar, yet my up to date Firefox shows no "shield" anywhere i can find. Has an update obviated the need for it, and if so, do we have updated help files to reflect the new control for security, vpn and cookie usage?

I literally just created a Primary Password for my account. It worked fine a few times and now it is not working. It says it is incorrect.I saved it in my notes with all of my other passwords before creating it, and even copying and pasting it does not work. I don't understand how it worked 5 minutes ago and now it does not. I don't want to reset it and lose all my saved passwords.

Under Privacy and Security I have Firefox set to 'Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed' with no exceptions listed.

When I close and reopen Firefox, the cookies are correctly deleted, but the cache is not. I have to manually go into this setting to delete them. This also happens if I go to the menu bar setting of 'history/clear recent history'.

I want to keep my history of where I've been, but clear clear cookies and the cache every time close.

This doesn't seem like an unreasonable request for a browser that bills itself as being privacy oriented, but I don't see how to do this. Doing banking, I have to manually go into Privacy each time to get this done to clear the site.

From looking at previous answers to this question it seems the current way Firefox is designed this is "not a bug, but a feature".

When using Google Meet, you are given the option to share your screen — either the entire screen, or a specific Firefox window.

I've noticed, however, that no matter what Firefox window is used, if you access an extension that creates a pop-up dialog, such as the Container selection button from Conex, the uBlock origin settings popup for each webpage, or a password manager pop-up such as Bitwarden, those popups will appear on the shared window, even if you decide to do this from another Firefox window altogether.

This is a major security concern for me, as I've had circumstances where the password entry window for Bitwarden will appear on any window, even if I open the extension pop-up from a window not being shared to Google Meet. I'm not sure where to submit this issue, so I'm starting from the Mozilla support page and going from there. Would appreciate anyone's help on getting this issue resolved. Thank you.

I cannot clear this cache to zero no matter what I try. How can I clear this cache. It just started happening after a recent update. I clean my caches after every use but not any longer.

I have used for many years Java in Firefox to stream live a stock market app. In order to continue using that app I have to use now Microsoft Edge. I would prefer to continue using Firefox. Is there a solution?

I have credit card autofill enabled, because I do a lot of business online and it is very convenient. Maddeningly, it has started doing something I can't find a way to fix. I put the mouse over the box asking for a credit card number, the saved numbers pop up, I select one, and then the pop-up box disappears without filling in the credit card number. I registered a Yubico security key on Firefox. It crashed, so I sent it back for a refund. I bought another model, but do not want to use it. Websites continue to ask me the security key password and asks me to touch the security. I only used that key one time before it crashed. I can find no place to turn it off for Mozilla apps. Can you reset my account? How do I get websites that have skimpy security to stop asking for a Yubico security and they tell me Firefox requires it. I have tried everything I know (I think) but Firefox won't allow me to stay logged in. How do I accomplish this??? I have researched online and still have not been able to accomplish this.... Google Chrome is no problem.... I stay logged in to it, but not so with Firefox... Help!!!!

I have Firefox set to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" but it doesn't do what it says it will. Cookies are deleted, but the cache remains. I want to keep a history of the sites I've visited, but have no cookies or cache saved when I close- see images below.

The first is how I have it set for Firefox when I close. The second is an example when I reopen Firefox - the cache is still there. I never have any exceptions set up and don't need to.

When I ask this question on this forum all I get is a response that looks like its by a bot. It repeats the instructions for clearing the cache that do not work that I already know, but never address my actual issue.

Is this a feature that just doesn't work, and is ignored by Firefox, even though their entire rap is that they have more privacy oriented than other browsers? Privacy washing perhaps?

Or is there some setting I am missing?

yes I know that version 3.6.28 is quite outdated now :) What is 20 years comparing to life on earth.. :)

Thing is that I need exactly this version of firefox because only with this version important web project works and now it is impossible to connect to server because I think TLS 1.0 not supported on server any more and old firefox can not handle the new one (do not know for sure, this is my opinion). So now I have very serious problem as I can not use needed web resource and deadline is tomorrow :(

So questions as follows: 1. Is there a way to force to work firefox 3 with web address https://varzybos.bki.lt 2. Maybe I can use non https:// version if all certificates are turned off in some way ?

I tried to add exception, then tried to play with various config option, nothing helped. So at this moment I am desperate.

I hate your new email address blocker!! All I want is for you to turn it off. I was using Firefox 100% of the time till you started blocking me from entering email address, I use Firefox for work and some times I have to enter clients email address into forms and your new blocker won't let me enter them. So, I have to log out of Firefox and open Google Chrome to be able to fill out the forms where I have to enter clients email address. Please either discontinue the use of this blocker or tell me how to turn it off OR I will have to start using Google Chrome 100% of the time.
