When we open Mozilla Firefox for 1st time, it asks for Master (Primary Password).

Once we enter the correct password, then it accepts it.

After couple of minutes or 1 hour later, it prompts again and again.

Very inconvenient to keep entering the password again & again if it is already entered once & window has not been closed.

Seems like a bug, please resolve it.

Hi, I'm using wampserver for web development and need to access localhost in order to view/debug my pages. FF redirect http://localhost to https://localhost and then shows "Unable to connect" error. After wrestling with Wamp/Apache/PHP settings and googling for a day I just noticed that this only happens on Firefox and all other browser working normally. Is there any solution for this?

I can no longer log into my vudu.com account using my Firefox Browser, can this be fixed, or do I have to use Edge now? There are other websites that I could never log into with Firefox, but I consider those sites that I don't have to use, but I have a movie library on vudu.com, I pretty much have to use vudu.com. I never had a problem logging into vudu.com before, it has to be one of the last couple of Firefox updates.

I wrote a message in GAB chat but just as I sent it I lost internet . The message is gone but not delivered. I searched online how to recover and followed instructions to do this. type or paste about:cache in the address bar and press Enter. Under disk click the link to List cache entries. This may take a long time.

Eventually you should see a list that lets you find the URL you're trying to decode. If you click it, Firefox should show the content there and list the compression type, which most often will be:

Content-Encoding: gzip

In that case, if you save the encoded content to a new file with a .gz extension you should be able to decompress it using your favorites ZIP utility. Of course, finding the beginning and end of the content may not be intuitive. I don't know whether the cache entry info page is helpful or not.

The problem is I have no idea which item in the vast list is on GAB because they all say google and Firefox thanks for any advice and please tell Firefox we are extremely disappointed that they teamed up with commie Google we can no longer download you tube videos unless we go through chrome and the downloader they offer uses 3 time as much data in the same format as the down loaders we were able to use

Hello community,

Not really big issue but it make me crazy sometimes...

I use few sites from RU (yandex.ru) top level domain and some of them have a domains in other locations (for example COM, LT). With latest updates FF switching RU top level domain to local one (LT) in the address bar dropdown.

There was an update around 5 months ago which make this change. And Later (maybe month ago) it was returned to normal behavior (domain was the one I using frequently). Now with latest update it happens again :(

I have 2 PCs, I updated FF at one of them and I get this behavior back. The other one have outdated version and there is no domain swap (version 89.0.2, Windows at both PCs)

The new Firefox is very disappointing and a big let down. I have been a dedicated Firefox user but these recent updates have made Firefox extremely slow and some of the useful functionalities are no longer there... Furthermore, with the previous versions, I would create my own short cuts by pinning them somewhere on the browser by either dragging the website address, or their logo and then by right-clicking the pinned tab, I would just type in a brief name to know what site it belonged to. Now, I can do it, but only to well-known sites such as Amazon, Facebook, Ebay and so on. I cannot do it with my own-interest websites. My own-preferred websites do occupy a space above the browser, but I cannot add a name to them. The little transparent square is just empty and I am unable to give it a name.

And, what is worse, when I open the new Firefox, all those pinned sites are being opened in the background and all the same time, and thus it is taking ages for me to get to my Home page. So far, with every update, I have lost certain functionalities which I had before.

I am sad to say, I might be tempted to start using Microsoft Edge on which I am still able to use these functionalities and at three times the speed compared to the new Firefox.

You have also done something lethal when uninstalling and reinstalling a Firefox browser. I have LOST all my bookmarks. In the past, the bookmarks would sit somewhere on the computer to be re-inserted with the new installation of Firefox. This is lethal and I am furious about it. I know, I know, I can export and re-import my Bookmarks, but it is not the same, I tell you.

You've done something with these updates which are not fit for purpose, I'm sorry to say.

I would like to at least be able to return to my own pinned short cuts at the top of the browser to make me use Firefox rather than going to the Bookmarks for my frequently sites.

Hi. Opened the browser yesterday to find that the shortcut buttons that sit in a new tab had all dissapeared, and it wouldn't let me manually add new ones (i just enter the name and url and then it stays black after hitting 'add'). The browsing history is also gone, as are all of the images for the sites in the bookmark bar.

I've looked for an 'old firefox data' on the desktop incase it went there but there isnt one, i've checked profiles to see if a new one was made but thats not it either. Does anyone know whats happened or what i can try next?

Thanks

I use & want to continue using Firefox Password Manager but, since updating to Version 90.0.2 (64Bit), The "Please enter your primary password" window keeps opening about every 15 minutes (I have not timed it). I have already entered my primary password & used the auto login with several webpages. Then the login window will popup & I will have to re-enter the password before I can use the features. I am running Windows 10, with the latest updates installed.

I never delete history! But I noticed this since long time ago, e.g. I want to go on a website - I was recently on (if I closed it already) but it is not in immediate search history - it happened to me multiple times!

Also now: I was searching for one keyword a lot, like 50 times and in history are barely like 7 hits. No idea why it is not there!!!

Please help.

I think I'm about to give up with this 'get help' thingy...everytime I press Enter/return carriage it disappears!

I don't like update 89. If you want a detailed reason from me then let's just say I have old eyes and I agree with all the complaints I've read so far. So, as I always make a recovery point before updating, I've rolled back my computer to 88 and will be staying there, thank you.

Now I would like a way to stop the annoying update notice. Please don't tell me to make files and scripts and mess with the registry...I mean, for goodness sakes, where's the button or the "opt out" thingy?

I will not be updating again until I read that I can keep the look I had without having to 'add-on' or try themes or heaven forbid make my own.

If security changes were Firefox's reasons for updating fair enough...but how did the look of a piece of software become a security issue? If this is 'new fresh' I don't want it, I'll just stay old and stale thanks.

Using Apache2 to serve web pages.

Debian Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 5.10.46-2 (2021-07-20) x86_64 GNU/Linux

The following appears in the access.log:-

127.0.0.1 - - [28/Jul/2021:15:17:42 +1000] "POST /scripts_php/memb_login.php HTTP/1.1" 302 314 "http://dev.webtest.info/htmlpages/login.html" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0" 127.0.0.1 - - [28/Jul/2021:15:17:42 +1000] "GET /scripts_php/memb_login.php HTTP/1.1" 200 499 "http://dev.webtest.info/htmlpages/login.html" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/78.0"

The form method is POST and the action is to call a PHP script which expects a POST array. The "302 314" appears to be correct, but, a GET is returned immediately.

According to w3.org:-

Note: RFC 1945 and RFC 2068 specify that the client is not allowed

to change the method on the redirected request. However, most
existing user agent implementations treat 302 as if it were a 303
response, performing a GET on the Location field-value regardless
of the original request method. The status codes 303 and 307 have
been added for servers that wish to make unambiguously clear which
kind of reaction is expected of the client.

This has just started to occur after a recent upgrade to Firefox. It might be caused by the browser but there might be some other explanation or configuration setting that needs tweaking. Could somebody please help.

Thanks.
