Ok, so I installed Firefox today, and tried to watch Discovery+, it kept saying it was installing components to play the audio and video and never seemed to actually install them. I finally figured out it's the widevine plugin sitting there with a yellow bar saying it's going to install soon but never does.

I went through nearly an hour of troubleshooting, and nothing has worked. I tried toggling the DRM option on and off, restarting the browser and PC, reinstalling Firefox, restarting my modem, disabling and enabling the plugin itself, going to all the streaming sites I use, attempting to manually install the plugin, etc.

As far as I know, I'm not using an antivirus, I don't have my VPN on, any other extensions or plugins, pihole, or anything else I saw in other support queries. I'm just going crazy trying to fix this since it seems nothing works.

How to add the date of the site listed in History.

As it is there is the sidebar: History, then Name, Tags, Location, and Date but the column is empty, no date appears there.

Hello. Our organization is experiencing an issue where sound settings are not carrying over correctly to Firefox. Specifically, this is with speaker settings. In multiple calling platforms (tested in Genesys Cloud and Teams), we are not able to adjust the settings for the speaker that audio plays from. We can adjust the default microphone setting, but not the speaker setting. This is only occurring in Firefox (works fine in Edge and Chrome).

Additionally, we've tried adjusting the default audio settings by going to Windows > Sound settings > App volume and device preferences, and changing the settings specifically for Firefox on this page. This does not work. When we check Teams or Genesys Cloud, it seems like Firefox is just picking any default without a rhyme or reason.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Almost daily I get an intrusive update notice which is invasive and unacceptable.

If your browser is so flawed that updates are done daily (during most weeks) then you should just plain GIVE UP!

At least have the courtesy and brains to schedule this ever 2 to 4 weeks at most. Stop invading my privacy and get your act together!!!!

Hello, I've noticed a change since the last update and don't understand why?

When opening the bookmarks tab I would get the drop down of a long list of links I have saved. I sometimes bunch them into groups so when looking down the long list, I can see the link I want better when more than one are from the same website.

But my issue is that when I went through the list and found that group of links, I could click onto one to open the page. In the past before the update I could click on the bookmarks drop down again, and still see the same area of links I had just clicked on.

Now when the bookmarks drop down closes it defaults to the top of the list and I need to scan down to find the links I was looking at again. Why? Yes when I closed the browser off and reopened it the bookmarks list would start at the top again. But if left opened I could click on the bookmarks tab and it would open to the same link area I clicked onto last.

Is there a way in settings I can reverse this annoying, unnecessary change.

A word to the Firefox workers that like changing things for no reason. I use Firefox because I like the things your browser has that the others don't. Keep taking the little things away that people like, which you seem to keep doing, then my favourite browser will just become "The same old s#*@" like all the others.

I need to export many profiles that are connected to my FFX account. these are the profiles found by going to "about:profiles". These do not restore on a new computer after signing in to a ffX account.

I have followed the steps outlined in this support article but it does not work, and I don't think applied to "about:profiles". https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles YouTube videos also do not appear to focus on importing the 'about:profiles'.

If someone knows how to do this, I would be very grateful.

When I try to access the website www.delhaize.be with both firefox for Win10 and for Li nux I get a different result. In both cases I tried in SafeMode all Extension off

With Win10 I am able to click on the language selection (French) and go on dealing with the cookies choice and continue shopping. With FF for Linux, although I click on the language button it sticks there and it is not possible to go on.

Any idea on how to troubleshoot ?

Hello, I'm teaching German as a foreign language - both f2f and online via Zoom. Up until recently I could call up the websites I would need for the online training, turn off the computer to save power and when I started it again the next day, all the tabs from the previous session would automatically reappear when I started Firefox. But now I cannot click the option "Open previous windows and tabs". I really don't want to completely delete this program and start from scrap because I'm scared I might lose all the bookmarks I collected for my job over the years. I have contacted the company and they keep telling me it's my connection or browser and they can't help me. I know there is probably one setting that somehow is wrong but I can't get anyone to figure it out for me. I have tried everything possible. Can this be a browser setting that will not let me edit anything on this webpage? I can edit on other pages that are basically the same type of program ( reunions for schools) PLEASE HELP. YES, MY SECURITY CERTIFICATE IS PAID UP AND ACTIVE.

I use Quickbooks. I've been frustrated on mozilla with the last two characters being cut off. I can change the zoom, but that doesn't help. It didn't used to happen, but I don't know which version this started with. When I use the same product under Chrome, it doesn't happen, so it's not the product. Any way you can help me?

Every day while opening the browsing I am getting the below-mentioned error, tried many things like complete reinstallations, and selected default profiles, but nothing worked.

While using Yahoo email I tried to access the 'Notepad' page and get a message saying to Download a new version of Firefox to see the 'Calendar' even though I was trying for the 'Notepad' not the 'Calendar'. If I try for the 'Calendar' I initially get the small right-sidebar version fine but if I ask for the full page version I get the error message again. This does not happen if I access Yahoo through Chrome-browser. I have repeatedly done the download to no avail. (I have version 99.0.1). I am attaching a screenshot of the error message. What's the best easiest way to translate my website https://invivobio.net/ in different language. Can anyone suggest me Mozilla Firefox Extension which translate perfect because I leave Google Chrome due to slow browsing. I am enjoying Mozilla for the long time, so I don't want to move back to Chrome.

Hey there, I was using one of my macs today and it suddenly started updating. It was taking ages and seemingly stalled, so I closed the app.

Now, all our bookmarks and history is gone. Also, the now updated version is not showing my new history etc.

Is there any way to retrieve our original bookmarks, history and passwords?

but I have a windows 10 and the solution does not show up in the Taskbar settings. Is there an updated version for this? Here is the OPs original question.

"When I open a new Firefox window, it stacks it on top of all the others in the task bar at the bottom. I would like them to be BESIDE each other. It used to do that. Now I have to hover over the ONLY Firefox item on the bottom task bar and read the list to find the one I want to go to. This is a waste of time and tedious.
