MacOS Monterey 12.3.1 FF 99.0.1 Have tried clearing Cache, Cookies, Troubleshoot mode.

Google Maps > Search > Share > Embed a Map, the map to be embedded is not displayed (likewise when embed is pasted into Wordpress page, for example)

While same procedure in Safari or Brave works as expected (map to be embedded is displayed in Google maps and embed code displays map in webpage using Brave or Safari).

From the Google Maps page > share > Embed a map > right click This Frame > Open in new tab And then looking in the Console. There are a few other ignored errors but then this...

Loading failed for the <script> with source “https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/js?client=google-maps-embed&paint_origin=&libraries=geometry,search&v=3.exp&language=en&region=us&callback=onApiLoad”.

and not only that, when I click on sign in - it shows me a work email address that I rarely use - not my Firefox account / main email. I have to click NEXT then change email address from the drop down menu. I followed the setting attached. but it's still does it. I close Google tab, then go back and im signed out again! It's extremely annoying. How on earth can I fix this?

My tech info: Macbook Air Mac OS 12.2.1

My browser displays many websites, emails, etc. using a strange garbled font (see attached image for reference).

I already checked the preference setting for allowing websites to select their own fonts. The issue also persists in Troubleshooting mode. I have also used the "Inspect element" tool when this has occurred, also to no avail. I imagine at this point the only real solution is to delete and reinstall Firefox, but I'd love to hear if someone has another solution! Thanks!

Note that text in bold / italics often shows up just fine. I can also copy-paste any of this text and it displays correctly.

I always use private browsing so I thought that my history was totally not being saved, but discovered recently that when I started to type within the search field, that many of my past searches were listed in the search field with the type highlighted in purple. I had to manually go in and delete all of these past searches. I don't want any search history to be saved. Is there a setting in preferences that I'm somehow missing? Why is Firefox saving these past searches if I have it set to Always Use Private Browsing?

Hello, I am a user on Mac! I am having an issue with moving tabs fluidly. Yes, moving tabs inside the window is easy but when I move them outside the window, it makes me a little uncomfortable. In the images and video I have sent, you can see that an unnecessary thumbnail of the tab pops up even when I move the tabs inside the window. This makes it harder to know if I am even moving the tab in the first place. Then it takes like 2-5 seconds for the new window of the individual tab I moved to appear. If whatever I said is quite confusing which I apologize for, I would very much recommend taking a look at Google Chrome, the browser I don't prefer, however, try moving the tabs around and outside one window and creating more windows with individual tabs. It feels more fluid or swift and easy to handle. Compare that to Firefox and a big difference is to be seen. I am concerned about this issue really because I am replacing my previous browsers, not only Google Chrome but browsers like Edge too which are capable of not having that issue, with Firefox instead and hopefully Firefox can have this capability. I also multitask a lot so I usually encounter this problem on Firefox. I hope this is fixed and am sure it will help a lot of users! Thank you! Is it possible to move the address bar above or below the Bookmarks Toolbar in Firefox 100.0 (64 bit). If not, can you provide a link to the latest version of Firefox for Mac OS X Catalina (10.15.7) that does not have the address bar on the same level as the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Is there a way to permanently disable red underlining from Firefox spell check? This has only started occurring since an update to Firefox 110 (now on 112), but there seems to be no way to make it go away. I've unchecked the spelling box in preferences, and killed off things in about:config:

extensions.spellcheck.inline.max-misspellings 0 layout.spellcheckDefault 0 services.sync.prefs.sync.layout.spellcheckDefault false services.sync.prefs.sync.spellchecker.dictionary false

I'm using Mac Monterey, and have the global spell check turned off for that. This seems to be a problem specific to Firefox, as it doesn't happen in Chrome (spellcheck off) or Safari. I'd like to remove this entirely, since it's distracting to have it second guessing me whenever I'm typing. The main reason I use Firefox is that it gives me the ability to control many things, particularly in combination with UBlock, but I'm unable to make any progress in removing this persistent work disruption.

Hi, I find that recently, my Firefox 102 (on MacOS 12.4, 2019 MBP 16) no longer displays colors correctly in pdf files. For example, in the attached screenshot I compare page 4 of https://arxiv.org/pdf/2201.08431.pdf seen in Firefox and Chrome. Could anyone give me some idea how to fix this issue?

My extensions take up a lot of space in my toolbar and I'd love to hide all of them. However - every 'solution' to the problem tells me to right click the extension straight from the toolbar and click 'Hide from Toolbar'.

I do remember this option existing, however I couldn't find it since last update and I'm assuming it was removed. Is there any way to use it again?

^ (Small note, It would also be lovely if I could add them to the Extensions add-on in the toolbar, as that would really be a better use for it other than overflow)

Getting unreadable text when website is using a font that isn't installed (see attached screenshot). When I view the source in developer tools it uses Roboto (which I haven't installed).

On my Mac, I have tried other browsers (Chrome and Safari) and they work fine. I have also tried this website with Firefox on Windows and it also works fine.

52.9.0esr is claimed to be the last version for XP. Unfortunately it is not quite true. It is for XP SP2 ONLY. Trying to install on SP3 ends with the message that SP2 is required. IMO the installer is simply too strict on demanding exact version of SP ! https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/52.9.0/system-requirements/

I went through the list of versions (thanks Mozilla that they all are still available!) and found that the last version I can install is... version... 12.0b6. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/12.0/system-requirements/

And indeed I installed 12.0b6 successfully but I would like to install 52.9.

I've got about 10 bookmarks with links to support pages each about adjusting specific about:config setting to my needs. My job also requires me to change systems lots of times, from Mac to windows to Linux. Is there an easy way I can save my personal about:config changes to a file for easy import on other systems?

I have two computers, one for personal use and one for business. Somehow the tabs between the two computers are being shared and I cannot disable it. Both browsers are signed into different Firefox accounts, Sync is turned off on both, and there are no connected devices. Yet despite that, when I go to one computer, it pops up a Firefox icon (see attached) in the taskbar that lets me open the tab open on the other computer. This is incredibly frustrating and Firefox should not automatically share this information, and should not make it so difficult to disable.

Hi there. I'm in the process of switching from Chrome and I want to import my passwords.

I first tried the 'import from Chrome' option - it says it's successful, but nothing has actually been added. Same result after several attempts.

I then tried the csv route. I found out I had to change the config settings, so I did just that, but the 'import CSV' option still isn't showing even after a reset.

So now I'm at a dead end. Any bright ideas please? TIA!

FYI I'm using Firefox 99.0.1

Firefox view is a new feature that looks awesome and I'd love to try it out to sync stuff between devices. There's just one problem:

1. Firefox view works on my laptop and seems to work on my phone, but does not work on my desktop.

For reference:

• Desktop (doesn't have view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Laptop (has view tab) is Mac Mini 2020 (M1) on Mac OS Ventura 13.0 (22A380)
• Both devices are running Firefox 106.0.2 (64-bit)

I have already:

• Made sure "Open Tabs" is enabled for sync on all devices
• Looked for the firefox view in the "Customize Toolbar" menu
• Disabled / Re-enabled Firefox-View in about:config

Help? I rebooted my machine and lost all my open tabs. any attempt to re-acquire them shows just the ones I have open now. It doesn't show any of the ones that were lost. Thanks Monica
