Here is one of my crash IDs: bp-f9625951-7706-43b0-8a7f-6f0ae0230129

Since dealing with an issue with my laptop running Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon 64-bit involving a mergelist error and packages with missing names, Firefox randomly crashes. Sometimes when it crashes it does it immediately every time I try to open it back up (sometimes even in safe mode), and other times it gets better after a reboot. I just installed the Flatpack version after the original one I had started crashing, so it is strange if it is an issue that just needs reinstalling Firefox, but other apps seem ok so I don't know that it's my OS.

I've tried looking for residual damage on my laptop after the earlier issue, but I can't find much information. System Reports tells me nothing is wrong and I can't make sense of syslogs.

Thank you for reading, I wish I had more details. If the crash report has any clues, please let me know.

I'm using Ubuntu 22.04.1/Wayland and FireFox Snap for Ubuntu 109.0 and I have two monitor bigger and smaller. After some time of using Firefox it's hang or something like that. When it happens I can normally open pages and use firefox except I can't move tab, resize window and when I move firefox from one monitor to second then it fit to half of screen (when move from smaller monitor to bigger) or window is behind monitor (when move FF from bigger monitor to smaller, you can see on screenshot what I mean). When I close FF and open everything works fine.

On my computer, I run Mageia Cauldron with a GNOME environment. After a recent update of my system, both Firefox and Thunderbird have stopped working. They crash constantly when I try to launch either of them. In both cases, when I try to launch them from the command line, I get the following message: ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. ATTENTION: default value of option mesa_glthread overridden by environment. Segmentation fault (core dumped)

For basic info, my system is: OS: Linux Mageia Cauldron Environment: GNOME Shell 43.1 Display server: X11 Kernel: 6.1.8-desktop-1.mga9 x86_64 Firefox: 102.7.0esr Thunderbird: 102.6.1

Looking around, it seems to be a bug with Firefox and Thunderbird, but besides waiting for a new update that might fix itself, I wonder if there is something I can do to make them work now.

Thank you.

This relates to this issue

I found a batter way to solve that problem.

You should install or reinstall one of the packages xdg-desktop-portal* List them on Ubuntu with:

 ```apt list | grep desktop-portal```
And try to install:
 ```sudo apt-get install xdg-desktop-portal-gnome```

or reinstall:

 ```sudo apt-get --reinstall install xdg-desktop-portal-gnome```
It seems you need to rerun DBus to apply changes, but I just restarted my PC.
If xdg-desktop-portal-gnome won't help then try to install/reinstall xdg-desktop-portal-gtk and xdg-desktop-portal.
Hello!
Whenever I join a conference/meeting, web version of Teams asks for camera and microphone in one window, e. g. "Allow camera and microphone? yes/no". I can, of course, press No, then press "Yes, continue without audio" in Teams, and then allow microphone, but that's really annoying.
Is it possible for firefox to ask it in two separate dialog window? 1. Do you want to grant Teams access to microphone? - yes 2. Do you want to grant Teams access to camera? - no
I'm trying to identify why the GPU RAM is reported as 0 in the report when an expected value should be greater than 0. If the browser is actually treating the GPU as having zero RAM it might be a starting point to investigate why the browser is unresponsive for sometimes up to 30 second when 42 tabs are open and I'm opening a new tab and trying to interact with an existing tab after switching between tabs or windows. Often these are divided between two or three windows grouping tabs as part of a multi monitor workflow while editing Wiki content. The system responsiveness is unaffected and other program do not change in their responsiveness. This occurs while CPU is under load and not under load, but occurs more frequently when under cpu load (low priority compute applications via BOINC for distributed computing). No GPU compute is being used.
Firefox was installed via the Pop!_OS Pop!_Shop. Confusingly the Pop!_Shop lists two Firefox Browsers (one by Mozilla, and one by the Mozilla Corporation) I'm told that these are separate due to their app IDs not matching which prevents the listings from being merged, but it is unclear which is sourced from what repository and how they differ for install as flatpak, deb, etc are not specified in the UI of the Pop!_Shop.
