I'm using Firefox 80.01 64 bit on a Windows 10 machine.

For years, I could use various EXIF data viewers to access the EXIF information on HTML files located on my PC's hard drive. A couple of years, all of those utilities stopped working. Previous questions on the issue showed that no one knew what had been changed, or how to reverse the issues.

I'm assuming that nothing has changed and that the issue will still be a mystery that no one understands. However, I'll ask if anyone knows what went wrong and how to solve things.

Once upon a time when trying to create a blank tab, I accidentally typed "about:blank/" and this command doesn't work if the backslash is there.

Now anytime I want to create a blank tab and I type "about:blank" it automatically includes the backslash.

Because this phrase/command doesn't show up in my search history, even after clearing all of my data, Firefox keeps "helpfully" popping that backslash into the field whenever I start to type the command.

How can I make Firefox forget I ever made this stupid typo?! (Would clearing "Site Preferences" and/or "Offline Web Site Data" work? I admit I haven't cleared those two things.)

I've been using U block origin for quite a while and have been pleased with it's performance until today. For some reason it's not blocking an ad that it previously blocked in AOL in box screen. I tried to add the element but it didn't work, although, I'm not sure if I was doing it correctly. I was able to block the ad content but not the blank ad space bar. See attached screen shot.I would appreciate it if someone would would review the procedure to block an ad. Thanks

This is driving me crazy - autocomplete is only working for a few sites - other ones including bookmarks it never auto completes? How do i get it back - i couldnt figure out from Mozilla search settings - I am on Windows 10

I am not referring to search but actual URLS

Also i am no longer able to save favorites - i have no idea why when i click it doesnt do anything - possibly related

I recently had to perform a clean start on my laptop. When I removed Firefox, it created a folder "old firefox data" with my logins, bookmarks, etc. When I downloaded and reinstalled firefox fresh, I followed the instructions to add the files in the "old firefox data" folder to the new profile folder and restarted firefox, however nonthing changed. My bookmarks were no where to be found nor was anything else from my previous firefox data. Looking for help with this problem.

Hello, i have notices in the last few days that Mozilla suddenly starts stuttering and freezing, after checking the task manager i saw that for no reason used almost all my ram and ssd speed. I want to point out that that happened before i opened youtube video so i assure you this is not because of 480p youtube video(i have limited data so i watch in low quality). If someone have solution to this problem that would be nice. This happens almost every time i use Mozilla. First it starts with eating ram and after 1 minute it starts using SSD also. I couldn't take screenshot immediately because it prevented me from doing anything for at least 30 seconds, but my ram usage was 99% and after 30 seconds it dropped to 86%. I had only 4 tabs opened. Firefox suddenly crashed on my laptop earlier today, I sent an error report and tried to reopen Firefox but it crashed again straight away. When I try to open the Start menu it does not respond, same with when I try to open Microsoft Edge. If I try to open Settings the box will open but then immediately crash. I can open Documents, File Explorer, Word and Acrobat, they seem to be unaffected. I have tried turning off and on and restarting with no success. I can open Firefox in safe mode but if I then try to open a new page it crashes. I've run a Norton check and no viruses were detected.

I followed the instructions for finding submitted Crash Reports and the Crash ID is bp-a4997142-2eba-4cbd-ba43-b64f80200907.

I was just using the laptop for work using sites I commonly use. I did download a new version of iTunes and iCloud this morning, not sure if this would have affected it.

I'd be grateful if anyone can help me or provide any advice.

Ever since the latest update, FF is super slow, with more than 5-8tabs open it will force my disk to run at 100%, rendering my system which isn't crap useless. 3ghz CPU, 8GB RAM, Nvidia 4GB GPU, never had a problem before this FF 80 update...

Don't want to remove my extensions -Https everywhere, disconnect, Facebook container, WebRTC, Adblock ultimate, Ghostery, cookie auto delete and Magic actions....Otherwise nothing else running...no junk!

I use a good VPN only to connect to the net, and again never had an problems before this update...no other updates have taken place on my system for a month or way more!

I refuse to use Google, and am at a loss as I love Mozilla.....Web pages are also crashing and saying no server now, yet I check my net speed and it's rapid as always?!

I searched online and it happened to others so I tried many things : - deleting the cookies.sqlite from the profiles folder in appdata\mozilla - repairing mozilla firefox - completely uninstall firefox and re - install after deleting remanent files

When digiting in the Firefox search bar, the screen becomes gray and the search engine is blocked. I have Windows 10 and my search engine is Bing. Everything works instead if I use the Cortana bar. I have already reset Firefox but nothing change. Thank you for helping. Gaspare

Login credential saving and prefill has been working great and synching across devices extremely well for quite awhile now. Very impressive.

Unfortunately, I have encountered a website where credentials appear not savable. I verified the domain is not listed as one that should be excluded from this process. I also tried the solution described at this link which involves saving a javascript as a bookmark, then using that bookmark in the course of logging into a site where credentials are not being saved.

I am wondering if you can verify for me that this domain cannot have its login credentials saved by Firefox and if possible, explain why this is the case. The domain is washingtontimes.com, the signin link is in the upper right corner of the page if you go there.

I recognize this hard to check if you do not have an account with the site in question. My hope is you can see something to explain what I am seeing. This is a big ask, so I want to express special appreciation for any assistance or information you might be able to provide.

Every time I attempt to access www.Parler.com my screen address bar rapid blinks and I have a flag at the bottom that says "FORBIDDEN ACCESS". I can access the same site using other browers like Chrome. What is going on with Firefox? Thank you for your help.

I don't know what the problem is and I'm asking you what to do

When I click Bookmarks in the menu bar, and let up on Bookmark this page, nothing happens. When I check my bookmarks nothing has been added. I am used to a popup window that allows me to choose which folder to put the new bookmark in. It no longer appears. I tried reinstalling Firefox and this did not help. What do I do to restore Bookmarking capability?

Norton just told me that Firefox downloader downloaded bugs in both their updates and patches! My computer HAD started having problems a few days ago that I noticed (hanging up on the lock screen, not letting me sign in). Then Norton found the bugs. Said they were new but high risk. What's going on???
