With older versions of Firefox we used to be able to have the search engine set at the right top corner. Please see the attached image.

I don't seem to be able to do that now. I'm not sure if it is something to do with Windows 10 or the new Firefox won't do it.

As you can see, there is a dropdown menu, and I would like to make a new bookmark for the dropdown selection "exacta" which leads directly to http://dle.rae.es/?id=DgXmXNM ... I have tried http://dle.rae.es/&formList=30&w=%s for example http://dle.rae.es/&formList=30&w=dicho which does not work correctly (the error always redirects to default "diccionario" page http://dle.rae.es/?w=diccionario)

For months now, when I go to YouTube on Firefox, I get the attached message.

If I go to YouTube using Safari, no problem. I can play the videos without a hitch.

How can I fix this? I LIKE Firefox and would prefer to continue using it.

I am having a problem where none of the favicons for the bookmarks in my Bookmarks Toolbar are displaying.

When I go to the Bookmarks menu, and scroll down the to Bookmarks Toolbar folder, all the favicons display within the folder. But in the physical Bookmarks Toolbar, only the text appears (see attached image).

How can I get the favicons to display next to the text for each bookmark on the Bookmarks Toolbar?

After I selected Firefox -Clear History, Better Privacy appeared to be functioning but I noticed in Add-Ons Manager “Better Privacy” will be disabled after you restart Firefox”. Firefox searches immediately began appearing in Google-My Activity even though they had been effectively blocked for the past year. When I restarted, Add-Ons Manager verified that Better Privacy had been disabled upon restart and that it was incompatible with Firefox 44.0.2. 1. Why would clearing history apparently trigger an add-on to become incompatible when the Firefox version has not changed? 2. What other effective LSO blocking programs are available for Firefox 44.0.2 and higher since Better Privacy completely stopped working?

3. Has Firefox permanently stopped making Better Privacy available for newer versions? If so, why?

Hi all.

Since some days the HTML5 YT player doesn't work anymore to me. The videos keep "loading" (black screen) for 30 seconds or so. After that, a text message appears (see image attached)

I copy the video link to Chrome and it works just fine. I've tried the following things I found here:

- Updating FF - Updating Flash Player - Deleting temporal files - Start FF in safe mode - Checking Flash Player is active (in Plugins) - Checking all boxes are blue in the YouTube's HTML5 test page - Checking the "Fix common audio and video issues", but couldn't find a solution

I installed the extension to force YT to use the Flash based player, and it works ok. So the problem is with the "modern" player (HTML5).

I really apreciated any help with this. Oh, and Merry Christmas to all this amazing community! :)

I cant play youtube videos (wont start 0.00) on firefox 44, ubuntu 15.04. this happened today, Until yesterday performs ok. Youtube can play once after refresh the firefox. Any help?

I need to setup a customized install of Firefox to run on a POS system. Theses are on a fully locked-down environment with all sites blocked except for specific URL's as needed. I need to be able to black the navigation bar address bar any popups and tabs. I want to be able to open the browser directly with a specfic URL that would be supplied in the call to the program(I got this part working already) But need to keep the browser fully locked down to prevent end use from doing anything other then clicking on links and filling out forms, and closing the browser. Any help would be truly appreciated.

There is a Open Menu icon, yet there is no "?" help icon nor is there an "About Firefox" for me to update my version of Firefox. So can't you give me a direct link to update?

I need a full download of Firefox so i can install it remotely. The machines I will be installing on have extremely limited Internet access. I don't want to start the install and need it to download updates. I need the exe to be as fully automated as possible and be able to download on a machine that has locked down Internet access. I have a Firewall that has specific sites whitelisted and cant open up just to get the install to work.

After updating to 45.0 a large number of tabs starting saving as "about:blank" instead of saving the actual tab info. Due to this, I kept losing a lot of tab info and history.

I originally thought it has something to do with the spin-off of Tab Groups since that was a feature I was using, but it's not. I reverted back to 44.0.2 with the Tab Group add-on and the problem does not happen there.

This seems to happen either with the native Firefox sessions or with Session Manager add-on.

The basic behavior is that when I go to restart Fifefox after shutting down, instead of restoring all of my tabs to their state prior to shut down, many of them tabs are just "about:blank" types tabs with no history.

I initially thought it had something to do with how the tabs were loading, but it isn't. I can actually open up the session info and see that the tabs were *saved* as "about:blank" so the problem occurs when the session saves.

Is it possible that there is now a limit to the number of tabs that can be saved as part of a session now (like 128 or 256)? If there is, then there needs to be a better way to inform users of this rather than just trashing their session data and restoring a blank tab where there had been a functional one before.

Firefox cannot access this site from multiple locations (both my home and my work). I did an SSL checkup of the site and they get a "Grade A" and looks like it supports all of the correct "current" signatures: https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=www.flexjobs.com

My Firefox has suddenly stopped processing my debit card payments to Tesco online. I have cleared cookies, history and everything I can but still the same. I fill in the card details and the site asks me to wait to get authorisation but nothing happens. I can do the transaction quite ok on Microsoft Edge.

I have read a number of articles about yahoo hijacking your search preferences and nothing so far has resolved the problem. Before this became an issue I had synced data that I have saved at work to my new mac - I am gravely concerned as if you can sync between sites with little in the way of security and subsequently be hijacked by Yahoo all the time, how safe is my data???? Particularly with saved passwords and the like? What is the resolution as this appears to be an ongoing problem as I only installed the new Firefox last month????

I need to run Java 7.1 for a particular website that only allows that, but Mozilla has blocked it. There are other versions of Java available and I am able to update it but it won't work with what I am trying to do. Is there anyway that I can allow the older version of Java to run? Any help is appreciated!

Here I am again with a little problem.

Not every website that I visit allows videos to be viewed in full screen mode, why?

I have followed the instructions on "how to" whenever I get this, but when I get all the sites that are listed, there is no "Allow Full Screen" button anywhere that I can see.

Can somebody please suggest another way to allow "Full Screen" please.

The last site that wouldn't was BT.com, all others so far do, YouTube, is fine as are other sites that I visit, mainly forums.
