I use Firefox to access my bank account, and it autofills the personal id number, and, when I click, the 6 digit code, which I allow it to store, because no one else has access to this PC. BUT, I had to take it in for repair, and give them my Windows login details. When I got the computer back, I went to the bank login page, and the autofill was a different personal id number. Does this mean that somebody used Firefox on my machine to login to their account? Or could a reboot have meant that Firefox randomly changed the PID number? Thank-you for your help.

I am a web dev and have a user download link to an excel xlsx file. On my own system it downloads fine in Chrome but in firefox ot displays the raw contents. Is this a FF setting?

Firefox does not retain email login addresses for Fastmail email webpage.

I have used Firefox and Fastmail for many years and this has never been a problem. When I opened Fastmail previously and placed my curser on the email address box I was always presented with a choice of three or four email addresses. However now I am only presented with the first email address I entered since the Fastmail/Firefox upgrades.

I have contacted Fastmail about this and they suggested it might be a Firefox issue

Hi, i have formatted my macbook pro, before i have made a back up with timemachine. I'd like to restore my bookmarks but i can't find it on the back up. I have tried to find on Library>Application support but in this folder there is not the Firefox folder in wich i expected to find the Profile folder.

Using windows 11 on a desktop PC. Firefox has been my default browser for decades...issues have been very rare. But this is a catastrophic problem. One of those folders contains links to equipment mfrs, the other one has links to dealers and retailers. In the last month TWO folders and all their contents have vanished from my bookmarks sidebar and cannot be found anywhere on my computer. I NEED those folders...Where did they go and how do I recover them ?????

Dear FireFox, I am writing this E-mail to address a critical issue. So i wanted to set up a password for my firefox browser so that only I can access it. i set a primary password, and it asks me to enter the password when i open my browser. However, when the message appears asking me to enter the password, you can just click "cancel" option or press 'x' it ignores the password and lets me in the browser, essentially rendering the purpose of the password useless. thus anyone can access my browser. i request you to fix this problem. My laptop glitched while doing a Windows update and it chose to not load certain apps upon completing the update. Mozilla Firefox was one of the apps it chose to delete and I lost all my bookmarks with my login information to all my accounts, can I retrieve those?

I have saved a lot of shortcuts bookmark on my homepage,yesterday when i opened my firefox,it was all gone and it went back to default homepage. what do i do to recover it.

I'm unsure about this setting. I don't want a tab to reload when it's switched to.

It seems to indicate that something will be reloaded regardless of what I choose. I assume that's probably not the case.

Please confirm.

If you install an older version, it works without any problems, what is the reason?

I transferred by Firefox bookmarks from my old computer to my new Windows 11 computer. I think they transferred fine. But to access them, I have to click on Bookmarks and then go down to Manage bookmarks and click on it. Then I see them on the page that has all the Import and Backup access on it. How do I get them to appear in the side panel as a list like they did on my old computer?

Firefox was crashing regularly in my PC desktop. I have updated from win 10 to11 recently then only i am seeing firefox browser crashes daily. I am using browser version 127.0.2 (64-bit). Below is dump file.

I have an issue that's been annoying the crap out of me and I haven't been able to find a solution. I'm hoping someone here can help me out.

I want to drag an image from one tab into the upload field in another tab. This works fine in other browsers, but not in Firefox.

For example, I'm posting an item on Craigslist. I have pictures on the item in Google Photos. I would like to drag the image from the tab showing Google Photos to the upload field in my Craigslist post, but when I do, nothing happens.

I get the same behavior regardless of what web page I'm dragging the image from or what website I'm trying to upload to.

I wiped out my computer and it is brand new yet I keep getting this mozilla error and it crashes mozilla, the computer is fine. The error is below, how can I fix this?

I do not have any ad blockers and have disabled "Block pop-up windows" in Firefox and turned off "Enhanced Tracking Protection" for sites but I still get the message that I am blocking ads.

I'm trying to setup MFA with DUO Mobile app, and I get past the part where I scan the QR code successfully. However, when it requests that I then enter the code generated by the app it rejects the code each and every time. My DUO app (on iPhone) is updated to the most current version as of today (6/30/2024), and my iPhone is updated to most current iOS version for iPhone 13, as of today. However, after multiple attempts the issue persists.
