After the Firefox update to 114.0.2 on my WIndows 10 desktop computer, the display of the Google Voice website became all garbled and vertical scrolling stopped working, making it impossible to read new next messages. My laptop, which has been turned off and has not taken the update, is still running the previous version and does not have the problem. I'm wondering if others have had the same issue.

I am using Arlo security cameras which store the video captures as MP4 files. The Arlo app has video playback feature that works in Chrome or Edge but does not work in FireFox. From what I have been abe to glean from searches, Arlo uses HEVC Codec that FireFox either isn't compatible with or is lacking the codec. Any suggestions?

To resolve an issue that has been plaguing me, I did a clean install of Firefox. I followed some instructions I found on here that ensured that all I had to do was rename the existing Firefox folder to something else, download and run the installer again, and I should have done a clean install without losing my user data.

The issue I had has been fixed, but all of my add-ons and bookmarks are gone. I can get the add-ons back, but where can I find the bookmarks in the old Firefox folder?

My Ledger is having a problem linking to MetaMask in Firefox. This happened to me a couple months ago and I followed the steps in the MetaMask support article about this very problem. I got it to work right away at that time by going to "about:config" and setting u2f to "true." I followed those same instructions again today to no success. I also updated to the current firmware on my Ledger device. I've restarted Firefox, my Ledger, and my computer in every order I can think of and nothing has changed. I've changed u2f to "false" then restarted and then back to "true" and restarted and nothing changed. I'm out of things to try so I'm messaging in hopes of finding a solution. Thanks.

This is a duplicate question because it was not solved the last time, and there were no other replies.

1. Works on all other browsers, but Firefox plays only audio and a blurry video (see screenshot). 2. PC is equipped with a beefy i9-13700 and RTX 4080; even with that CPU, disabling hardware acceleration eats up almost 25-30% CPU and it is not practical to watch videos that way. 3. Is this bug really not that common? Is it just me and that's why there's no traction for fixing this bug? 4. How do I elevate this request so someone takes action, in case we find no solution in this thread?

I'm not sure about any of the following.

Is there a way to turn off the UI animations? I'm using Firefox for Ubuntu 114.0.1 (64-bit). I did a web search and some page said to open about:config and set toolkit.cosmeticAnimations.enabled to false, but when I try it it's not there. Maybe some people like these animations but I have autistic spectrum sensory sensitivities and the dots jiggling back and forth when a page is loading and the swoosh on the tab when it loads, among other things, are making me dizzy.

I see this issue posted in other questions but none of the solutions given works. For one, the click on items you talk about don't exist, like the "Firefox Options and/or Preference" is no where to be found, top left click on Firefox Icon or top right bars. The right click button does not work in your browser at all. I don't have this issue on my work computer or my work laptop and they are running the same version, 1140.1. I am use to: Right clicking Firefox icon in tool bar and a menu coming up that allows for several choices. Right clicking in the top bar with page tabs and being able to put the bookmark menu bar up permanently (the main reason I use Firefox, ease of accessing bookmarks which Chrome and IE make ridiculously difficult}. How do I get functionality of my right click back?

With the last update I suddenly have the url/search box background and its search results drop down background set to an ugly pink with diagonal lines.

I am visually impaired and now its almost impossible to use firefox because I can't read the text on top of the diagonal colored bands. There doesn't seem to be any settings to turn on or off this appearance.

I will have to switch browsers until this is fixed and I don't want to.

I've run into a troublesome error with Firefox for probably eight months now, so I have not been using the browser. Whenever I attempt to install ANY add-on from the Firefox add-ons page, I get the message "[Add-on name] could not be installed because Firefox could not modify the needed file". Furthermore, attempting to download the add-on file manually (should it be available on a github page or the like) leads to the same message or a notification that the download failed.

As a matter of fact, downloading almost any kind of file on Firefox inevitably fails. The exact notification is shown in the upper-right corner of the browser window, where downloads are shown, and beneath the file in question is an indicator that says "Failed". Everything from .png to .zip to .exe appears in the downloads queue for a second, then fails.

I have tried every solution the Firefox add-on troubleshooting page has suggested, including solutions suggested in other threads, such as deleting/creating new profiles. I have also attempted to completely reinstall Firefox on multiple occasions, as well as the refresh Firefox option.

To recount, the following troubleshoot solutions did not work:

--Everything on the Firefox add-on troubleshooting page --Restart Firefox --Refresh Firefox --Create new Firefox profile and attempt to install add-ons from there --Delete and renew the extensions* files from the profile root folder --Modifying the xpinstall.signatures.required in about:config (true or false, doesn't matter) --Modifying the extensions.alwaysUnpack in about:config (again, true or false, doesn't matter) --Double-checking allow list and permissions on local firewall and antivirus software (the app is protected, add-ons are allowed) --Disabling antivirus software --Running Firefox as Administrator --Reinstall Firefox --Restarting PC

If I want to download a file or add an extension, I need to switch to a different browser such as a chromium-based one or Microsoft Edge to download the file. In the case of add-ons, I switch browsers, download the file, and select the "install add-on from file" option under "manage extensions" in about:addons.

One final thing. It seems that sometimes streaming sites won't work on Firefox (even with ad-blocker disabled or the site allowed through the ad-blocker), and sometimes video won't properly load either. These things work fine on other browsers.

I really like Firefox as a browser and enjoy the privacy it provides built-in. I didn't have any of these issues up until last year and I was forced to switch over. I would really appreciate any help with this.
