The last time I updated Firefox it forgot my open tabs and browsing history. I never want to update Firefox again so how do I disable this annoying popup about a new version? If I cannot eliminate this I will change to another browser.

In trying to startup browser I get this message: The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem. I tried to uninstall the browser, but it would not let me. Help!

I cannot access certain email documents because my pop up is blocked. I have tried a number of searches as to where to disable the pop up for firefox but keep hitting dead ends.

The new Mozilla Firefox (version 110.0) does not run after update on my system. After run it shows the window, but this window doesn't respond. The clean installation (of course with profile folder erase) doesn't fix the problem. I have tried both x64 and x86 versions.

The previous version installation (109.0.1) works fine.

There are some screenshots included. I use Windows 7 on Ryzen 7 2700X processor. Could you please advice, what can be done here?

I am currently having problems with my Firefox browser. For example often if I type something into the google search box at the right of the address bar and hit return nothing happens until I go down and select Bing instead of the google setting. Also in hotmail (I am on a desktop) if I go to reply, the original is now ether twice. This does not happen if I use Google browser. But I prefer Firefox as I have used it for years.

My concern is if I delete Firefox and reinstall it, I may lose some of the settings or bookmarks that I have set over the years.

Any suggestions? Please simple as i am old and not computer savvy.

Your help would be so appreciated. I am currently on Firefox 107.0 (64 bit)

I am trying to install 32 version of Firefox on a VM running RHEL8.6.

I sourced the installer from https://download-installer.cdn.mozilla.net/pub/firefox/releases/115.1.0esr/linux-i686/en-US/firefox-115.1.0esr.tar.bz2 here and i followed the installation instructions mentioned here .

After the installation is done, whenever I try to run Firefox, I get the following error

-bash: /usr/local/bin/firefox: No such file or directory

I checked the environment variable and it was et correctly.

Please let me know where I am going wrong.

My PC-Windows 10 crash, I have to reinstall Windows 10 on another partition of HDD. The old windows 10 partition still there with firefox files on that, how can I restore as much as possible from that ?

I have a slight problem. I'm currently using Firefox 116.0.3 and it seems that it can't update. The automatic updating will run, and then it will fail (this is all the time when using Firefox). It will recommend me to download the newest version from the website, but then the CDN will and I will be presented with the "connection was reset" error. This happens both on my Windows 10 and Windows 11 machines. Both are running Firefox 116.0.3.

Funnily enough I tried to see if I could download the newest version on Edge (Chromium), which it could but the version I got from the website was the same version I have now. I wonder if this is something to do with my region as I'm based in China and I'm aware that some software can have...problems.

Also, when trying to download version 122.0, it is fantastically slow and will often fail to complete.

Is there anything that could be suggested as I really don't want to use Edge.

I recently Upgraded to a new Mac. I updated the software to Ventura 13.0.1. Followed the Migration package as suggested by Apple. Process appeared to work well with a few exceptions. One being the subject of this question. I use the buttons on the home screen a lot. A while back I made each button use the website logo. Now I have lost those icons which were replaced by the first initial of the site. can someone help on this?

I have been using Firefox for quite some time. Suddenly it stopped working on my computer, I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but I keep getting a message that there is a problem with the download and installation. Can anyone help? I am trying to install Firefox offline. I know you use to be able to do this but I don’t it is possible anymore. I am on windows 10 and every time I try to install it just throws this error (see attachment). And when I reconnect Wi-Fi or Ethernet the installer works.

My firefox download speeds are absolutely abysmmal while I tried all possible fixes I could find on the internet. Other downloads are working fine (between 15Mbps and 70Mbps usually).

Any idea why firefox download speeds are below even 1(!) Mbps?

Normally I use side-berry to hold all of my tabs - the panel normally collapses and hides to the left of the screen - showing just the favicons of the website.

After the most recent firefox update 107.0 (20221110173214) there is now a large bar that i can't remove!

any idea how to shrink this dead zone? I would really like to keep using my fun tabs.

I then went back to try downloading Firefox in the regular way. First I got a message, "Now installing. Firefox will be ready in just a few moments." Again, installation proceeded to around 80 - 90 %, and then I got a message, "Hmmm. For some reason, we could not install Firefox. Choose OK to start over." Starting over didn't help.
