Firefox browser, v123.0.1, 64-bit. windows 10 Pro, 22H2.

Hello, this may not be a problem with Firefox itself at all, but I'd like to try to understand what the cause of the problem I and others are having.

I have Norton 360 installed, in this Windows 10 computer and like to use Firefox for internet browsing, it has always served me well.

I also have Norton Safe Search integrated/add-on to Firefox. This puts a red, green, or gray check mark at the end of each link that comes up during a search and has always worked before.

Recently, I've noticed that such check marks do not appear at all when doing a search with Firefox, but they are present when I do searches with MS Edge.

I am searching for a solution here, and also in the Norton Community. There are others there who have stated they are having the same problem.

Has anyone here heard of this before, would you have any suggestion as to what may be causing the lack of the Norton Safe Search check marks in Firefox searches?

Any input/suggestions would be welcome.

I'm trying to give permission to a website to use my microphone, but if I copy in the web address, the "Allow" button doesn't appear & so when I hit "save changes" nothing happens.

I am running Firefox 121.0.1, which is currently up to date, on a slightly older MacBook, which has the latest MacOS it can get: macOS 11.6.8. As the title states, YouTube is almost unwatchable on my machine. The video will pause frequently while audio continues, motion is not very smooth, which is especially noticeable watching sports, etc. I cleared cookies and cache, I have run in Troubleshoot mode as well as tried flipping some switches in about:config that I've seen in YouTube videos and forum posts about similar issues, but nothing has solved this issue.

YouTube in Google Chrome works fine, and I've been watching HD YouTube on this laptop with it for years without any issues, so I doubt it has anything to do with machine specs like RAM, CPU, etc.

I was hoping to make Firefox my new browser and start supporting browsers that aren't chromium based since Google Chrome is going too far with respect to privacy and the freedom to use the add-ons I like (e.g. adblockers like ublock origin), but so far I have not been enjoying Firefox for YouTube. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your instructions under "help" say to click on "Firefox" and click on "preferences". When I click on Firefox the menu does NOT have "Preferences" in it. What's up with that?? And how do I clear the cache and cookies?

I tried opening an .md file with Firefox. It seems that this was a bad idea. Now, my browser keeps opening new tabs indefinitely. I tried rebooting my computer (I am using Ubuntu), I tried removing the handlers.json files from the .modzilla folder in my home directory, but it has no effect: whenever I try to open Firefox this infinite loop goes on right were I left it closing the browser. Please help so I can use it again! Best.

Online forms don't appear in Firefox (Windows 10 PC), but do appear correctly using Edge or Chrome. This has been happening for quite some time. I have o switch to Edge or Chrome to see the fields to fill in on online forms.

Since a day or two the font size on my Menu Bar is way too small. I have been searching around and the solutions are not working or not what I want. I do not want to zoom in, I want my page size to remain the same, I only need the font size on the menu bar back to what it was. I tried the userChrome.css method and it did not work

When I open Firefox on my new computer all the bookmarks are showing at the top. I only want my default bookmark toolbar to show. The only solution I could find was to drag it into the toolbar area.

Firefox stopped working with my VPN on when I updated my OS to Sonoma, yesterday. I use PIA for my VPN.

I have done the following, so far, restarting my system several times between trying these things:

Checked that internet connection and modem are fine. All pages load in Safari, with VPN running, but I prefer Firefox.

Checked the Network settings for my Mac. Ensured that No Proxy was selected.

Cleared my Firefox cookies, cache and history.

Tried running in troubleshooting mode, turning off all extensions.

Tried turning off Advanced Tracking Protection, which I usually run on Custom.

Refreshed Firefox.

Finally, I turned off my VPN and, viola, all sites work. Turned it back on, and can’t navigate, again. For instance, I tried to open YouTube, and got a blank screen. Turned off VPN, and got to main YouTube page. Turned the VPN on and tried to log in…nope. Turned it off and logged in. Turned it back on and tried to open a video….nope. Turned it off and opened the video…etc., etc..

I very much wish to continue using both Firefox and my VPN. Can you suggest a course of action? Thank you for any advice you can give!!

Suddenly almost everytime I load a YouTube video I have to watch 2 - 4 min of ads, sometimes two in a row before the video starts. I no longer have the skip ad button. If I load the same link in Chrome or Edge I don't have this problem. My search engine is Duck Duck Go, but if I go to Google first and then to the video I still have the problem. I also have the Maleware Bytes ad blocker installed. Any suggestions?

When I open the Manage Bookmarks in Firefox I have thousands (not exaggerating) of recently bookmarked items. How to I delete all of them? I think I turned that feature off via the browser.bookmarks.showRecentlyBookmarked. I changed it from True to False I have tried deleting them one by one but it seems like they recreate and I am not making any progress deleting. How do I delete all of them?

I started getting this message today - "this page is slowing down firefox. To speed up your browser stop this page" How can I fix it other than to start using Safari.

Firefox is my default browser, but it does not allow me to log in to specific websites. For example, ihg.com, when I click the sign in button nothing happens, I just have a little note at the bottom left "javascript:void(0);" Another example, dutchcrafters.com , when I click Log in with Gmail, nothing happens.

I have tried removing all the content blocking extensions (privacy badgers, ublock origin, etc.), did not fix it. I have tried a firefox refresh, did not fix it. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox with several device restarts, did not fix it.

I know this must be a firefox specific problem because microsoft edge work perfectly for both of these examples. Any other suggestions to fix this firefox issue?

I've noticed lately that my Firefox keeps freezing and hanging up at random periods for no apparent reason. I have very few plugins and it even happens with them all disabled and removed. I've tried resetting Firefox to default everything yet it makes no difference.

Also I can not clear history. I've tried multiple different clear history plugins but none of them work at all. And when I try the traditional way of clearing Firefox history the window pops up and then the entire browser just freezes while 'clearing' and never gives me back control, I have to force quit and restart to regain control. And then when I relaunch the history is still not cleared!

So aside from the constant lagging and lockups it seems that any attempt to delete history whether using the inbuilt function or adding plugins messes up the whole browser.

Googling this issue it seems others are having the exact same problem with Firefox and yet any suggested solutions (reset browser) don't seem to be working for may of them.. Or me.

Every time I am trying to search, google is always pinned on my search bar, and I want to get rid of it. How can I remove google? (On the image I marked the issue with a red circle)

Hi, Please advise how to remove, disable, delete, block the new added "Your browser is being managed by your organization." to my Settings page. I'm home user .Also Please know that this is generating "FALSE FINGERPRINT CERTIFICATES" thank you
