So how can I change the sequence of the different websites?

It's not Drag and Drop

I'm on Mac. When I open a PDF in Firefox I get a print button and a download button. The download button does not offer a Save As option. It simply uses the name used in the browser - often this is a number or day or some other appellation that is less useful than allowing me to rename the PDF myself. Chrome offer to rename the file before saving but I hate Chrome.

Maybe I'm overlooking something?

I've a problem with Firefox 84.0.2 on my new macOS Big Sur. all UTF-8 text on a website (standard-text, button-info, ...) are displayed incorrectly

the menu (view/textencoding) option is disabled

is there anybody who can help me understand and solve the problem

what I did so far: deinstall an reinstall the browser - did not solve the problem

I love Firefox but I'm having some issues with some features.

The feature I'm commenting today is the downloading files feature.

In the settings, it says always ask where to download but this feature is not working properly.

Can you look at this?

I have multiple users on my computer, each with their own sign in. How can I have the other users create a Firefox account to sync their own settings when they sign on to this one computer and not have to sync my settings on this same computer or share them between users? EX: With my friend signed in on this computer I tried signing my friend into Firefox and It stated it would share sync settings. I don't want shared sync settings between us.

I'm sure there's a way to do it. I'm just not sure.

Is there any way to temporarily disable Firefox (and Thunderbird) update reminders? Mozilla seems to be updating its software so often that I'm getting too many reminders and it's interfering with my work flow. I understand the need to keep software up to date as often as possible but this has now got ridiculous, and I am on the verge of changing my default browser from Firefox to Safari, Chrome or Vivaldi. Please stop forcing every little tiny update onto your users!

Or is there some sneaky little way I haven't noticed under Preferences which already does enable me to do this?

I am one who never has and never intends to have any passwords saved or otherwise stored on any browser/website/app. Firefox prompts one to make a choice to do so or not via a drop-down box offering choices "Allow", "Don't Allow" and "Never Allow". In spite of my repeated responses by clicking on "Never Allow", I am always, perpetually annoyed by being continually confronted with the same drop-down box...which tells me that "Never" does not in fact mean what it should.

If anyone can help me with any information directing me to a specific step or series of steps I can make to completely disable Password Manager/Firefox Lockwise...I would be extremely grateful. It is yet another unfortunate reality of our "new collective normal" when we simply must engage the digital world that utterly disregards it actual negative impacts on flesh and blood.

What can I do to make this annoying and utterly useless drop-down box go away...forever...as in, appear "Never Again?"

I need to continue to use an application (Web Site) built with Flash Player for the first 3 months of 2021. Flash Player support ends on December 31st 2020. What is the plan at Mozilla in terms of restricting access to Flash Player in 2021? - For example, is there a timebomb in the browser so that Flash Player will seize to work on December 31st? - If not, would Flash Player become inaccessible following the first browser update in 2021? If yes, do we know when date is scheduled for approximately? - Will the behavior be the same for all Firefox versions (Light, Enterprise, iOS, Android, etc..). Thank you!

Chrome has a really fantastic feature called "Tab Groups" - it's pretty self explanatory but it basically allows you to quickly group related sets of tabs.

This is an incredibly useful feature but it seems Firefox hasn't got anything like it.

I've tried a few of the third party add-ons such as Tree-Style-Tabs but they're all over-complicated, take up too much screen real estate or change the way tabs operate.

Is adding simple Tab Grouping functionality on the Firefox roadmap?

If not - has anyone found any good add-ons to replicate the Chrome functionality?

I have a quick question, whenever I open Firefox - it opens to it being 'Restore Down' or as the smaller window. And even when I full size it and try to restore previous session, it changes it to being the smaller window... I'm just really confused as this has been bothering me for a little bit.

Is there a way to change the color of the tab bar background. I typically have several windows open, different windows for different accounts, and I'd like to color code the tab bars to make them more easily recognizable. Also, a black background makes it hard to discern a window when it's partially covered against a dark screen image.

How do I change, ie increase, the days my website visiting History is kept? Presumably 'about:config' remains the location for such settings; I have used this in previous versions, for other changes, and am aware of the care needed here - 'Dragons'! And what is the current default setting for History?

While I'm here, is that excellent add-on 'Addictive Typing Lessons' by Tom Kennedy (I think) still available for this version of FF? I learnt to touch type with this, but now need to practise more.

How do you get completely rid of the search bar and all search bar functionality?

If I remove the search bar via the the 'customize' option, it makes the address bar a combined address/search bar, and I definitely don't want that. I don't want typos when I am typing in website addresses to be run as searches.

Under 'Options' -> 'Search' the only options I see are 'Use the address bar for search and navigation' or 'Add search bar in toolbar'. I don't want either of these options, I want to completely remove the search bar and all search bar functionality.

It is possible to screenshot the whole webpage on my friend's window 7 HP laptop by right clicking and selecting screenshot when using firefox,while right clicking does not display screenshot option on other laptops.What is the problem/solution?
