Hi! There are multiple recent threads on this issue, and not one of them has a solution, so I'm asking again. I want to increase the font size of the top header text, specifically the bookmarks toolbar, search bar, and tab titles. The text is too small for me to read. It would also be useful if I could increase the font size for the applications menu (the hamburger drop down menu in the far right of the header).

I do not want to increase the size of anything else, so changing layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is not the solution. I have changed my global zoom settings, and set them specifically to "Zoom text only", but this setting does not effect the bookmarks toolbar or the search bar. Changing the default font size also does not increase the size of this text.

Just to clarify again, these threads are not solutions to my question: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1214027 https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1293358

Until recently, whenever I downloaded a file, the Firefox dialogue requesting the destination folder started out at the folder I last used to download a file from that web site. Now it appears to always start in the last used folder, independent of web site. Since I seldom download more than one file at a time from a given web site, this means I have to navigate the directory tree for every download, which makes the whole process take two or three times as long as it used to. Is there any way to restore the old behavior? My searches on the web have only turned up suggestions that are accompanied by responses that say "That didn't work." (Running 101.0.1 on Ubuntu 18.04, if that matters.)

I know there are add-ons that will let me script the download folder selection process, and I'll go that route if I must, but I'm hoping that my preferred browser behavior is still available - "just works" is preferable to "you can beat it into submission if you try hard enough".

Dear Sir or Madam,

I'm running 101.0.1 and spell check no longer works on any mail app like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, BT Mail. If I use Chrome or Edge then spell check works correctly. This is despite my Firefox Settings being as below.....

Language Choose the languages used to display menus, messages, and notifications from Firefox. ENGLISH GB Set Alternatives… ENGLISH GB Choose your preferred language for displaying pages. Choose… ENGLISH (United Kingdom) (en-gb) Check your spelling as you type = Tick (Yes)

Could you please advise a fix?

Kind regards,

Neil.

P.S. If I use Chrome or Edge then spell check works correctly.

I use LastPass to manage my passwords. It has worked well with Firefox on a Dell running Windows 10 for several years. For the past week or two the LastPass icon is black meaning not logged in. I enter my email and masterpassword and I see a vault with a spinning wheel for about 30 seconds and then the icon goes black again. No error message. If I click on the icon it shows I need to log in.

I've tried reinstalling the extension but the problem persists.

LastPass works fine for me on the same computer using Chrome for Windows. It also works with no issues when using Safari and Firefox on my Apple Macbook.

Hi, I have Firefox installed running under Windows 10. I have a number of extensions installed including Firefox Containers. I have had to change my router. When I restart my system with the new router connected to the internet and open Firefox I find that I cannot open any websites assigned to personal containers.

I switched back to my old router and everything works ok - I can open all sites including those assigned to containers.

When I switch back to usuing my new router however I again find I cannot access sites assigned to containers - error message is “Secure Connection Failed”.

I’ve removed the Firefox container extension.

Using my old router I can connect to all websites in the normal expected manner - none show they are assigned to Containers.

Using my new router however I still find that having opened Firefox I cannot access any website previously assigned to a Container. If I use another browser (Edge), trying to open a website previously assigned to a Firefox Container simply opens my router home page.

It would appear therefore that despite having removed the Firefox Container extension, when I boot up and connect to the internet via my new router there is still information stored somewhere on my system which is preventing my accessing websites previously assigned to containers.

How do I remove all necessary information from my system so that I can access all websites?

Thanks for your help

There are a number of solutions if you google it but they all seem to be useless or want you to pay for various malware removers- which probably dont work. Any help much appreciated .

I use firefox for reading pdfs a lot, and i would really like to use page up and page down for their proper functions when doing so rather than having to scroll. the issue is these keys dont move a full page height, they are slightly too small. thus the pages quickly become misaligned requiring scrolling to rectify. a very minor but very annoying problem that i assume has a simple fix but i cant figure it out. help with this would be greatly appreciated!

I have a problem with how firefox is treating link to the file of type ".wotmod". For some reason firefox without asking is just opening file in the active tab (displaying it in the browser) when what I want to do is to download the file. Can i somehow force firefox to let me decide what to do with files of that extension? I did set action for all available ContentTypes to "Always ask" and I did check "Ask whether to open or save files" option in settings, but still Firefox is just opening those files in the browser. Other browsers like Chrome or Edge are letting me download the file, but I would prefer to use firefox for all my browsing needs. For anyone interested [[here|https://gitlab.com/wot-public-mods/replays-manager/-/releases]] is the link to gitlab release page containing multiple links to files of affected type. Below I have added screenshot of my settings: https://user-media-prod-cdn.itsre-sumo.mozilla.net/uploads/images/2022-06-16-13-10-17-d4c7aa.png

Is there a way to create a keyboard shortcut to send a link to Mac Mail? There's a toolbar icon to do that and I'd love to just use a keyboard shortcut. Safari makes this easy. Command-i sends the page link to a selected email program, plus the text from reader view. It'd be great to do something similar in Firefox.

I am reinstalling Windows\Firefox, and would like to hide\remove Bookmarks Toolbar & Other Bookmarks, as shown on the images. The Delete Folder option is greyed out for both, and Other Bookmarks is empty.

Both were hidden\removed in my original installation, but I can't remember how I did that. I've seen posts mentioning e.g. browser.toolbars.bookmarks.2h2020 (it doesn't exist) in About:config, right-clicking on the Other Bookmarks and uncheck it (it doesn't exist).

I'm using Firefox 101.0.1 (64 bit).

I swear there was an option for that. I accidentally right clicked the toolbar and clicked on Something that messed up the very customized way I had my toolbar set up. Then I realized the Refresh button was missing. I go to put it back and something feels VERY off. I realized that the Refresh button is not part of the URL bar. I am not sure if it was part of it before, but I know for sure it was an option at some point.
