I seem to keep getting a popup every few hours regarding XULRunner complaining about "This profile was last used with a newer version of this application. Please create a new profile." This will occur every so often, even when Firefox is not open.

I have already attempted to:

• Reboot
• Clear cache
• Uninstall extensions
• Uninstall/reinstall Firefox
• Downgrade Firefox
• Make a new profile and switch to it
• Delete all previous existing profiles

I think I've run out of things to do, anyone got a silver bullet for this thing? I was unable to find anything conclusive with Google, so I figured I'd ask here.

Despite being listed as supported on: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/API/MediaDevices/enumerateDevices

enumerateDevices() still only returns input devices. Running navigator.mediaDevices.enumerateDevices().then(devices => console.log(devices)); in the Firefox console only shows input devices while on Chrome it shows output devices.

I use a website that supports playing from multiple output devices so when receiving a phone call, your desktop speakers and your headset can ring at the same time. This works in Chrome but it doesn't in Firefox.

He said its down to some update which for some reason I dont have but in the attached image, he is able to add his own wallpaper in nightly but I am not for some reason. Would love some support

I'm currently on build 134.0.2 (64-bit), no extensions enabled. I've tried starting the browser in troubleshoot mode. I've wiped and uninstalled Firefox, which worked while I was NOT signed into my mozilla account. My .*lz4 files are fine when the browser are open but I've noticed as soon as I close it they are overwritten with the outdated session file. Considering this has happened when I log in into my other laptop, I'm presuming this is a Mozilla account synchronization issue. I may be looking at a red herring and would appreciate any guidance. Is there any fix or setting I am capable of doing?

I like firefox...used it two to three times a week for over ten years...Now when I click on the icon on my menu, I am greeted by the ansurb: "That doesn't look right." When I try to download Firefox, it will not down load...why are you idiots doing this to your own product?

Hopefully this is something that can get answered quickly. These past few days I have not been able to use FireFox on my laptop.

It doesn't seem to be a wifi connection issue because other browsers work and other devices are connected just fine.

I also tried opening FireFox in the "troubleshoot" mode, but I am still receiving the same errors. I would appreciate any help I can get on this issue.

Hi, I’ve been experiencing slow performance on Firefox recently. It takes a long time to load pages, and the browser sometimes freezes when I have multiple tabs open. I’ve tried clearing my cache and updating Firefox, but the issue persists.

Has anyone encountered similar issues? Are there any tips or settings I should check to improve performance on a Windows machine? Thanks for your help!

I walked away from my laptop for about an hour and when I came back my task bar was gone. What happened to it? and how do I get it back? Below is the spec's of my lap top that I use/have been using/task bar missing

When I open Firefox it opens a maximized window with tabs, then it opens a minimized with a single tab, then it reopens a maximized window with all session tabs. Each window displays in succession, one window at a time.

I'm on desktop using Windows 11.

I just read a post saying this behavior was caused by the resist fingerprinting feature. Can someone explain how that causes the repeated opening of browser window 3 times. Is there a way to retain the anti-fingerprinting behavior w/o the multiple window opening behavior?

For the past few weeks Firefox has been crashing and freezing often. Crashes are worst when trying to access Protonmail, which almost always crashes the tab instantly. Freezes happen most often when browsing Reddit, and also when watching Youtube, but crashes and freezes can happen on almost any website.

I have tried changing profiles, refreshing and uninstalling/reinstalling, but the problem persists and seems to be getting worse over time.

the crash report ID is dd1e4f07-c2e0-4372-be7f-e82820250128 this is odd, Laptop was running linux mint, i beleive 20. mate. i reinstalled to the latest 22 and then copied over my .mozilla folder since then FF has been crashing. so i opened it in troubleshoot mode and it still crashed. so i moved .mozilla over and let FF recreate it and its still crashing.

im not sure where to go from here.

Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old Firefox process must be closed to open a new window.

I've rebooted, reinstalled, can't get it working.

I am trying to access iDRAC 7 on a Dell Poweredge R520. On version 133.0.3 I get a An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.1.20. PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. I know that the problem is that Firefox stop supporting older versions of TLS. So I choose to also install an older version of Firefox (43.0). On that version I get a The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified error. I used to have no problems accessing iDRAC 7. Has anyone else been able to resolve this problem?

So, i have a laptop, with integrated cpu graphics (Intel UHD) and discrete gpu (RTX 3060), first times when i set in Windows settings to use Firefox powerful gpu, it just won't, i tried restarting browser but i forgot that i have opened private tab, so i not restarted browser. So, on any pages like WebGL Aquarium, i have pretty low fps, in comparison to other browsers (like Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome). Then, after i see that tab, i closed it, and after restart i got my fps, but.. still lower than other browsers, on WebGL Aquarium with 30k fishes, Firefox max fps is around 35, but on Chrome is around 70 (two times faster). I found one page that shows gpu that uses for acceleration, and it shows pretty weird information in Firefox. https://kdashg.github.io/misc/webgl/low-power.html So, in Chrome it says like "Nvidia RTX 3060 Mobile GPU", and when i choose integrated gpu for this browser in windows, it says like "Intel UHD GPU", but, in Firefox, on first tries it said same, but when i got discrete gpu acceleration, it says that i have "Nvidia Geforce GTX 980". I was like, what? Where it did come from? This explains why I have a fps two times lower but who will explain to me why this gpu is here? I tried to change all acceleration settings in browser, but when i just disabled any acceleration, still shows GTX 980 what is more weird than if it just shows like nothing or Intel GPU, cause is disabled but still uses hardware acceleration, but no matters if i let Firefox use recommended performance settings or set to use acceleration when is available, it shows GTX 980. I think it's about a bug, or something? I can't say that's Windows problems, drivers, or any other thing, cause, other browsers don't act like this, and i just don't have GTX 980 in my laptop on side with RTX 3060 and Intel GPU, anyone even know that laptop like this exists? The image I uploaded is all I am getting. I even got on line one on one with my McAfee and they got on my computer. I need help guys. Is not just browse, I am also having issues accessing the website I know my account has been compromise. All I did different is add 2 adds on that were recommended by Mozilla and I removed them but it looks like the damage was already done.
