What happened to the "page ingo" option!?
In the last update this option disappeared, which is super useful, one of the main reasons why I use Firefox. It's a bug?

Is there any way to get the feature "open image in new tab" instead of "show image"?? This is really annoying.

looking on my iPhone, under passwords, there are many sites that say password has been compromised and to change it. The only way this could happen, I think, is if somebody got my Firefox password. Now if they did, they would still have to get my master browsing password, which is different and more complex. Is it possible to extract passwords from my account without knowing the master password?

I found out that menu with image items appeared not only on selected images but on web site's background image. I believe that in previous version of Firefox this menu did not appeared on background images. Moreover I saved a web page and opened it. Link to this background image could find on style.css file only. I checked list of files for saved web page and these images are not exist. Therefore if this web site will be shutdown I would not be able to open saved page properly. It is interested that when I click on saved web page items of this menu appeared. When I select background image to try to open in next Tab I get a message that this file is not exists off-line. Yes, file is not exists but but Firefox saved link to background image not an image itself.

Hello, I have my Firefox bookmarks separated by folders according to the theme. Every time I use the 'search bookmarks' option, firefox shows me all the hypotheses based on my search but hides the folders and doesn’t show me in which folder the bookmark I looked for is located. This way, I always have to do a search because I still don't know what folder it is in unless I remember it again or browse through all the folders until I find it. Is there any way to do this? Thank you.

So, I've had this problem once already and solved it. Mozilla updated automatically and I lost all of my tabs (over a 100 tabs, mostly with books I wanted to buy / compare prices), couldn't restore the session and had no history. After a dramatic and prolonged freakout, I actually found help on this site and managed to open the correct upgrades.jsonlz4 files with the jeffersoncher scrounger website. I meant to save all of the links in a word file since I no longer trusted firefox to open my tabs after an update, but real life happened. I kept putting it off and was content to have the tabs on hand as a list on the scrounger website. But then ANOTHER automatic update happened and now I no longer find the old .jsonlz4 file - I have a few really old ones (from 2017 and 2019) but the one from around the time period of the first tab loss only has tabs about restoring lost history. I now, just as before, again have no history to find the tabs with the books I want that way. My question is: I would very much like to have those tabs back - some of those books were meant as gifts and finding them the analog way is possible, but very time-consuming. Is there any way I could find the correct .jsonlz4 file (I even remember the date it was modified as shown in file explorer - or should I just give up the whole affair as lost and no longer waste time on it? I'll try reinstalling firefox after I post this message, but given that it didn't work last time, I'm not very optimistic.
Thanks in advance, all the best Ana

Reviewed "Sheribee" earlier issue which apparently involved a VPN. I do not have a VPN but have tried several times in the past week to access IRS refund status site without success. I can get into irs.gov, but am unsuccessful in accessing the refund status site after entering required input data. The issue has occurred only this past week.
I'm unaware of IRS issues causing this problem.
Have not had this issue on any other sites; and I have successful retrieved data in prior years.
I am not saving any sign on protocols with the irs or any other sites.
Running Windows 10. Thanks for any help. BTW I did get refund information using the telephone, but I want to ensure there's not a hidden conflict of some sort with FireFox. Thanks for any help.

Firefox has been saving images from some sites as webp instead of JPG for a long time. There have been repeated threads on this subject which get locked and then pushed into the long grass.
Sure, I could botch a solution by installing an add-on to convert them, or I could use something like XnView (which I do, periodically, and in bulk) after the save event has happened, or I can edit about:info to tell Firefox not to accept webp - but this breaks functionality for some sites (like eBay), but I have found that in the end I have had to start switching to Microsoft Edge to do my browsing for a number of sites because Mozilla Firefox are ignoring repeated user requests to provide a simple option to STOP doing this.
I don't want to save any files as webp - save them as PNG if you like, or jpg, but I use an ancient copy (v3.24) of ACDsee (from the days of Windows 98) for my image browsing, sorting, viewing etc because it is perfect, blisteringly quick, has no extra editing or other functionality which I don't need or want, and it doesn't bloat up anywhere with thumbnail files... but sadly webp didn't exist back then so it doesn't support it. I have used a number of much more up to date browser-viewers, but there is nothing can touch this OLD version of ACDsee for basically brilliant design.
I'm not changing my image viewer. It's non-negotiable.
I WILL however change my web browser if I have to, if the developers of the browser continually kick into the long grass to lock, hide away and pretend there's isn't an issue which has been repeatedly flagged as an annoyance for so many users.
I have been using one form or other of 'Mozilla' family of browsers since the days of Quarterdeck Mosaic. I don't particularly want to switch my loyalty, especially to Microsoft, but if they are listening to what customers want and providing it, and Mozilla are not, what else is there to do ?
I am a retired systems developer. I cannot envisage this being SUCH a big ask.
Modern software treats its users like idiots and takes away control, doing everything it's assumes on their behalf that they will want.
It is not difficult to provide an option within settings for when saving webp files to save as webp, png or jpg with conversion if necessary. All you need to do is hear the screams and respond. :)
What happened (overnight) to "view image info" option (on rt click over image). Pls give it back!

Hi,
I'm new to firefox, I'm trying on this new linux based config to change from chrome to firefox, and I've got an error on most of the different website I'm trying to join : "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." For short it's the server not found error, but I can access thoses websites from an other browser.
I'd like to solve this problem, I already tried ipv6 disabling, and dns prefetching enabling from this help page : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/server-not-found-connection-problem and it still not resolve my problem.
It often resolve alone half an hour after I started firefox, but it is way too long...
Thanks a lot for helping me !

Good morning everyone, for at least 6 months now I'm having a lot of problems viewing some sites with Firefox. I have not been able to find common points between these sites, I only noticed that many are made in Wordpress.
Anyway when I load these sites Firefox takes 3 to 5 minutes to display them. Sometimes the screen is white, other times the wheel turns. Any other browser, of course, plays the same sites immediately.
To complicate things I have to add that the same sites sometimes start loading normally again, and then stop loading. But not all of them. I mean that one starts working again, another one continues not to work and vice versa.
I've done dozens of tests without being able to solve the problem in any way. I list them:
1. Deactivated all the extensions, even uninstalled, loaded Firefox in safe mode and nothing to do. 2. Uninstalled Firefox completely (cleaning %appdata%, windows registry and program folders) and reinstalled clean, no go. 3. Installed various versions of Firefox Developer, 32 bit, ESR, normal, even portable, always without extensions and with standard configuration and nothing to do. 4. Unplugged the network cable and connected in thetering / wifi with the 4G of the cell phone and nothing to do. 5. Tried a neighbor's wifi and nothing to do. 6. Wiped the pc, registry, uninstalled any software that wasn't absolutely necessary and nothing to do. 7. Started Windows in safe mode and nothing to do. 8. Uninstalled Eset Antivirus (I have a friend who has the same antivirus anyway and he can see any site perfectly with Firefox), deactivated Windows Defender as well and nothing to do. 9. I've followed the advice of dozens of articles modifying about:config in various ways (always making a backup first) and nothing to do. 10. Checked the pc with 4 different antivirus, antirootkit, antimalware and it was perfectly clean.
At this point I don't know what to do except give up using Firefox after a decade, because the problem seems to increase, in the sense that the sites that I can't load are more and more.
If someone can help me to avoid it I am very grateful...
