For the past few weeks I get the pictured error for every file download. Sometimes restarting firefox allows it to work once but not always. This appears to have started after the last update.

Could you advise please if you have any alternative solution for me, and many others like me, or maybe there is more secured or light versions of Firefox available.

When a document is loaded in Google Drive, after a few minutes pages will begin to flicker through other pages in that document (including edited version of the current page) and sometimes even pages from other documents that have been opened that session (some people reported pages from documents opened in previous sessions appearing, but I have not had that issue). This problem seems to only affect Linux. Reports on the reddit thread indicate that setting gfx.canvas.acceleration to false fixes the problem, although I have not thoroughly tested to ensure that fix works and even if it does it obviously isn't a desirable solution. The thread indicates that this has been an issue since 129.0.2, although I'm unsure whether this is a regression or if Google changed something that broke Gecko. Interestingly, turning off all of my extensions doesn't seem to fix anything, but running in troubleshooting mode does. Additionally, I've noticed that Firefox reports that it is running in Quirks mode when it loads a particular script, presumably because that script injects raw HTML into the page. First, I would like to point out that there is a previous thread that asks the same question and unless you are a tech genius it DOES NOT provide a reasonable solution for the majority of people that are not tech savy. They literally warn you to be careful as these changes could mess up your system and providing this complex solution, IS RIDICULOUS!!

Second, why this setting is the default and a simple solution hasn't been provided is ridiculous and another example of how customer service no longer exists!

So for the majority of users that likely don't understand the solution provided or don't want to risk creating more issues. CAN YOU PLEASE PROVIDE AN ANSWER THAT EVERYONE CAN UNDERSTAND? If you don't, I can assure you that not only will I never use any of your products again, I will make it my life's mission to make sure others quit using your products as well because again, this whole issue and past solution is beyond ridiculous!!!

NO ONE WANTS THIS SETTING SO THE SOLUTION SHOULD BE FIXED BY YOUR PROGRAMMERS AND NOT BY PROVIDING COMPLEX SOLUTIONS THAT MOST DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!

I've been working on an issue with one of my customers. They've reported poor audio quality and we narrowed down the issue to most likely being: https://issues.webrtc.org/issues/42220269

We've been trying to find out if Firefox will or would exhibit the same issues. However, when I dug into this it appears Firefox utilizes a forked implementation of webrtc.org and it's not clear how closely coupled if at all the Firefox WebRTC implementation is to webrtc.org.

Our issue is related to AEC3 (Echo canceller algorithm) I can't quite figure out if AEC3 is leveraged by Firefox or not.

Would someone be able to help me confirm how close the implementation of webrtc matches webrtc.org and whether or not AEC3 is implemented?

I hope this message finds you well! I use two versions of Firefox: the stable one and the developer one.

The developer version is set to start with the Windows start and is set to be minimized on the Windows try but since some years Firefox, as other browser do, never load the page or the tab content if the tab or the window is not active, been seen by the user.

I'm asking if there is some hidden settings in the about:config that allow me to disable this and let Firefox load tabs or page always, not only when the tab or windows is seen by me.

Everything was fine until about an hour ago. Suddenly over half My tabs quit working. Either the display is weird and all text, or the page is blank, or there is a small "broken image" icon in the upper left... A few tabs are working fine. On X I get a notice saying, "Firefox’s Enhanced Tracking Protection (Strict Mode) is known to cause issues on x.com."

I tried turning off tracking (which was NOT "strict!!!"), and that did not fix the problem.

What is going one????

I'm getting the F7701-1003 error every time I try to play Netflix (works fine on other browsers). I tried every step of this guide this guide and triple checked it. I tried uninstalling, resetting profile, I that checked resistfingerprinting is turned on. I'm kind of at a lost. At this point I'm being forced to use other browsers...

I work heavily in a site called Xactanalysis for work. This is a product by Xactware that is used for tracking, reporting and uploading estimates for insurance claims. They have released a reporting tool recently within Xactanalysis, and the issue is I cannot use with Firefox browser. This works with Chrome, however I would prefer to use Firefox.

I have entered the website address in the exceptions page, but still won't work. When asking Xactware for assistance they said manage the exceptions and it should work. This still doesn't seem to work, so I am curious if there is anything else I can do?

Hi, the problem is basically what the subject says, i reinstalled windows on my pc but didnt export bookmarks because i thought having a firefox account would make the deal. But after installing firefox and signing in, bookmarks haven't been restored and my account seems to be clear, no backup information at all.

Some time ago Firefox got an update which made the browser really unintuitive. Back and forward buttons were placed on the right side instead of the left and the "+" to open a new tab disappeared.

I only have this issue on my home PC and laptop, but not at my work laptop for some reason.

How can i turn this back to the intuitive design?

I signed up and paid for Mozilla VPN on 07/09/2024 and received an email saying: "Your payment is currently processing and may take up to four business days to complete."

I still cannot sign into Mozilla VPN and it is asking me to pay for the service.

I'm not sure what type of issue this is, so hopefully I’ve posted it in the right place!

Devices:

• Firefox version 133.0 on 2022 M2 MacBook Pro OS Sequoia 15.1.1
• Firefox version 133.0 on iPhone 16 Pro Max iOS 18.1.1 (*for reference, of checking issue, not where issue is occurring)

Issue Breakdown: While updating my bookmark's tags in Bookmark Manager, my tags all but disappeared and other strange things started happening.

• My tags aren't in the sidebar menu of the Bookmark Manager at all. See Screenshot 1.
• Already tagged bookmarks retained the tags, but I’m unable to edit, add, or remove bookmark tags at all. When the bookmark is selected, the bookmark’s tags, nor any other tags, appear in a list under the bookmarks tags. See Screenshot 2.
• I can locate all bookmarks with the same tag by searching bookmarks in the Bookmark Manager.
• I can move and rename pre-existing bookmarks.
• I can add new bookmarks (confirmed by the blue star beside the address bar on the main browser after exiting and re-entering), but I cannot find those bookmarks anywhere in Bookmark Manager.
• My mobile bookmarks folder isn’t shown in Bookmarks Manager, but I can view 11 bookmarks in my Mobile Bookmarks folder on my phone’s Firefox application.

I’ve tried the following:

• restarting Firefox by quitting the application
• refreshing Firefox through the browser [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/refresh-firefox-reset-add-ons-and-se...]
• restarting my computer
• clearing the startup cache
• clearing the cache [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache|link]

• uninstalling then reinstalling Firefox software

I have no idea what is wrong with it or what is going on. What else can I do?

Out of nowhere I started having problems watching Videos on Twitch. So, after some Flatpak repairs and reinstalls, I decided to sync my data with Firefox Sync and remove it completely. For my surprise after reinstalling and logging in on Firefox Sync my only extensions and, what looks like part of my history were restored. Lost my session, custom tabs names etc.

On 2015 MBP Mac OS El Capitan 11.6 new Firefox 78.15.0 esr won't sync with my older MBP running El Capitan 11.6 but it will sync to the 2015. How do I get the 2015 replacement computer to sync?
