I've tried going into Full Screen mode three different ways:

• Clicking the green MacOS button in the upper left of the window
• In the Firefox menu in the upper right, to the right of the Zoom choice I click the full screen icon
• Pressing Command+Shift+F

But whatever way I do it, I still see the tab bar, address bar, and bookmarks toolbar rather than a true full screen. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Windows 11 Firefox browser 125.0.1

In Proton Mail, when I receive an email with an picture attached inline, I get the following error message: "Your browser could not verify the remote server's identity. The image might be hosted using the http protocol." Is this issue with settings in Proton or Firefox? How do I fix this? See image below. Thank you.

Download files (pdf, xml) don't open in application (acrobat, firefox) since 125.0.1 Firefox version from IBM Power server with Ubuntu :

The message is "Fichier non téléchargé - Risque de sécurité potentiel" that is "No downloaded file, potential security risk" :

When we download a pdf file from the server, the "choice box" allow to . open in the browser or . open in Acrobat or . download on my PC. The opening fails with this message. This is the problem. The download on my PC works and when I open the file from my PC it works also.

We need this function of opening a pdf or xml directly from a server IBM Power with Ubuntu. It was OK for several years until 125.0.1 Firefox version. We had no change on the IBM server.

Can you repair this problem quickly. My PC uses Windows 10

I've been using the Firefox browser, and recently when downloading files with Firefox, sometimes it prompts: .part could not be saved, because the source file could not be read. # see image #1 I'm trying to download file to disk D. But the fail tips is download .part file to disk C. Maybe firefox is using some file cache policy which I don't know. I also checked both two location, my account have read/write access.

I can try to resume the download, and the download progress will increase, but about half a second later it will fail again. If the file is small and my internet speed is fast enough, after several attempts the file will eventually download successfully. # see image #2 I have tried using "private window" or enter "about:profiles" to create/use a new and clean profile, but the issue still persists. # see image #3 I tried using other download tools like "Internet Download Manager", and the download was successful. It's ok for use chrome to download the same file to same disk location. The problem recently emerged, it didn't exist before. At least a month ago, the same computer didn't have this issue. I'm not using parental controls.

I've had an ongoing issue with Firefox now for several months since upgrading to windows 11. When I try to copy text, or images, url's or anything really that is supposed to go to the clipboard, it copies a blank text with no data instead. I can copy text and images from other programs and even paste them into text fields on Firefox but I can't copy from Firefox to anything else and it's frustrating.

I recently got forced into upgrading Outlook in windows and hated it so I started using Thunderbird and surprisingly, I have the exact same issue there as well.

I have tried: Running Firefox in safe mode (Shift + Left Click) Resetting Firefox Switching Back to default themes Disabling hardware acceleration Updating to the latest Beta Build (v126) Running Firefox Developer edition

I really want to get this fixed and working, I don't want to have to switch to another browser =/.

I am using Ubuntu 23.10.1 with KDE Plasma desktop environment. Since recently I've been experiencing the following problem with Firfox document viewer: after a period of inactivity, PDFs become unreadable, and seem to cumulate everything that was displayed on screen (see screenshot). Ctrl + F5 does not help, and neither does closing the window and opening a new one with a link to the file. KDE Document Viewer displays the same file correctly.

I have a well hidden web server that uses HTTP. I need to download files from that server. After the newest update, Firefox now gives a warning about the website and on that warning is a button to "Allow Download". However when I click on that button, the file that gets downloaded IS NOT the file that I was initially attempting to download. It looks like it is a copy of the web page that was being displayed at the time. I noticed this behavior at work. I went home and used Firefox to connect to the server and everything connected and downloaded correctly. I went to see what version of Firefox was running. It was 124.0.2 and there was a button saying "Update Firefox". I clicked that button. My home Firefox updated to 125.01 and my home version of Firefox now also downloads the wrong file.

We have an electronic document management system in our company. The system is an internal system without access to the LAN. Firefox detects files downloaded from it as potentially dangerous after the last update. Is there a way to prevent files from this website from being detected as potentially dangerous?

Hi Every single one of my passwords is compromised according to you. Therefore I think the data breach is with Firefox . I have set up several unique passwords recently - how are they breached so soon? And why every single one. It is very suspicious. Regards Caroline

When the little yellow man is placed on to the map, and a direction arrow is clicked, the view just continues to spin round. Clicking on the 'X' in the top right hand corner terminates street view. This does not happen with other browsers.

My OS is Debian 12, Firefox is the latest version 115.9.1esr (64bit).

The pinned shortcuts on my newtab page have all disappeared once again. I've gone to about:config > browser.newtabpage.pinned and my shortcuts are all listed. But only blank boxes show up on the page. It will not accept a new entry when I try to enter one. It goes back to the blank white box. Why does this keep happening? Can anyone give me a Firefox for Dummies way to fix this?? Thanks!

I have Firefox 124.0.2 running on Windows 11. For some reason, I can't update Firefox. When I manually download the update file, it appears to run Ok, but the version doesn't change. If I go to settings and click on "Check for Updates" is comes back and says Failed to Check for Updates. How do I fix this?

Originally reported on April 11th /questions/1444593: I have Windows 11 and the Firefox 124.0.2 browser. I cannot update to the latest version of Firefox. I receive an error message "Failed to update". I've uninstalled and reinstalled the browser, ran the install utility selecting update, nothing seems to work. Please help

I'm having trouble with Firefox where images aren't loading on some websites, even though they display fine in other browsers. I've tried clearing the cache and restarting Firefox, but the issue persists.

Is there anything else I can try to fix this problem and get images to load properly?

I need to be able to use Command-I (for italics) or Command-B (for bold) when using Firefox to write emails and enter information on other websites WITHOUT Firefox opening Page Information or Bookmarks.

This is basic browser functionality! People use browsers to write emails and other online documents, and the hotkey combo for things like Bold and Italics on Macs are Cmd-B and Cmd-I. All such websites I use recognize that as a standard, but Firefox insists on using those same commands for browser features I almost never use and certainly don't need hotkeys for.

All the information I'm finding online on how to fix this is deeply unhelpful and far more complicated than I can handle. Can you please tell me if there is a simple way to stop Firefox from pulling up Page Information and Bookmarks as a result of keyboard commands, or at least for me to change what those commands are so that they don't conflict with industry standard commands for text formatting on the vast majority of websites?

Hi, so on my office pc I work with firefox. I made an account specifically to store every bookmarks etc on that account so when my company updates something I'll always have my bookmarks. Unfortunately somehow since yesterday they all disapeared, and no I'm unable to recover them with the different methods that are foreseen on your website. please advise kr daniel
