Recently i installed a Mozilla browser on a new device. I log in to my account but nothing is getting synced. I have over 500 bookmarks and several add-ons and those are information that are of utter importance to me. They contain half of my work and research.
Please provide me assistance with this case.

1 - As far as I can remeber never used an Authenticator app for Firefox. 2 - Been using Firefox for more than 10 years - not sure I ever had recovery codes 3 - Requested change of password - email received to my email address and my recovery email address 4 - Changed password - email recd again on both mail email and recovery email address. Your account password was changed You will need to enter your new password on other devices to resume synchronising. 5 - Attemepted to login and I need the authenticator app or recoivery code. 6 - Now in a loop

4. Installed Firefox 56 (I was using 63 but i only had 56 installer)
5. Updated it to 65.0.1.
6. Connected my Firefox sync account
Problem -
1. All bookmarks didn't sync.
I created bookmark HTML backups and it were of 6mb and my latest backup is 171mb.
There are 2980 differences in 173mb backup and Backup taken after again connecting to FirefoxSync. I used WinMerge.
2. HTML backups also contain fav-icons [and Firefox Sync only syncs links not fav-icons.]
When browser is used fav-icons are loaded but after sync fav-icons are loaded as pages are loaded , so there are no fav-icons and html backup size is less than the last backup.
3. Could be related to https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1251781
4. There could be something wrong with Firefox's Exporting. Imported the same 173mb HTML to chrome and Firefox then exported HTML backups. Firefox Export was of 61.1Mb Chrome Export was of 12.9Mb

I re-set my password and am trying to log in to FireFox Browser Sync on windows, it says it will send me an authorization code and to enter it, I received the code and entered the code exactly as received, and it says it's wrong. It's rejecting the authorization code I'm receiving from firefox by email, there's no question about it, I'm not making a mistake, entering it exactly as is, capital letters matching the way it was received in the email, even copy pasted it once, tried it 4 times and it keeps rejecting the authorization code it's emailing me...

what a mess firefox made of all my computers in my place this new sync thing has totally messed up all my computers, now I have all my bookmarks on every computer!!!! Fu%$. It has taken me hours to get each of my computers back to where I had them setup in bookmarks!!!! I only want certain bookmarks on certain computers, so this has been a horror to fix, how do I keep getting ALL bookmarks on ALL computers? I have each computer customized. Guess I'll have to delete my sync account, only way I know! Thanks alot!!!!!!!!!!

Does sync blend bookmarks, etc from all synced devices? It appears to. How can we (maybe can we?) make sync a manual user controlled process rather than an auto process, including prompting us for what we want to sync instead of syncing everything automatically on sync sign in.
Right now documentation that I have found to read anywhere does not touch on these details. I cannot believe how reckless this process is.

Why do I need to "confirm" signing in after I sign in? I already gave you my name and password so why do I then have to go to my email account and "confirm" it?
