I have updated Firefox from 115.16.1 to Firefox ESR because I use a Mac running OS 10.13.6. Is there a way, hopefully an easy way, to import all of the bookmarks and extensions I was previously using in 115.16.1 to ESR. Hope so. Thanks!

For some reason Firefox keeps telling me it won't install on Windows 8.x or lower. I have Windows 10 Home 64bit. What is the problem? What can I do to fix this. I have the latest updates for windows.

After your most recent update, a tab preview is now displayed when hovering the mouse over background tabs. I don't like it at all and want to delete/remove/stop it, but can't find any way to do it. Please help.

Is it possible to get a version of Firefox ESR beyond 115.15? If so, would you be so kind to share the URL to download the installation?

We still have a few Windows Server 2012 boxes that are using Firefox 115.15, except Tenable is reporting the version as with vulnerabilities.

Firefox will not open after downloading your latest update. An error message comes on screen: The file directory is corrupted and unreadable. This is occurring on a windows11 pc. I can open other files thru the microsoft browser. I'd appreciate some help, thanks, Gary

Running Firefox on macOS Sequoia 15.0. Afternoon of Tuesday, 8 October, Firefox abruptly ceased loading any pages. I eventually learned of the malware incident and downloaded Firefox 131.0.2 last night and overwrote the existing file. It worked for a brief moment, then also ceased functioning. Have downloaded 131.0.2 several times now, with no further success. Currently dead in the water with Firefox, and stuck with Safari. :(

I just installed the new Firefox version (131.0.2) and the installation gave me a new desktop lnk (the old one is still on the desktop). The new link (to an .exe file in "C:...\AppData\Local\Mozilla Firefox\browser") starts the new version of Firefox in its newborn virgin state, i.e., EVERYTHING from my previous version is missing.

The old link (which points to an identical .exe file in a completely different directory "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\browser" with same date stamp as the .exe file mentioned above) when executed results in an error message: Platform version '131.0' is not compatible with

                                                                                              minVersion >= 131.0.2
                                                                                              maxVersion <= 131.0.2

NOTE: The files in each of these two directories appears to be identical. I really want my old profile back.

I am using windows 10 and since the last update I noticed a duplicate firefox icon is opening everytime I clicked on the main firefox icon. Attaching a screenshot.

I can't launch Firefox -- has never happened. I just need quick fix - don't have time to learn as I have Dr. appt. to get to! Got error msg.: re whatever update sent today was not compatible with whatever I already have, but I didn't write down the numbers -- they were identical, just new and older version.

What's the recommended way to update the product globally across Windows and Mac? This would include users with various versions installed but I would rather not download each. Is there a single update command that could be run without user intervention?

Windows 11 home computer with Mozilla Firefox version 122.0 from 1/23/2024 cannot be removed even in safe mode. When attempting to remove there are no errors, it just fails to go to next step when select uninstall. This version will result in a pop-up error of 'Couldn't load XPCOM.' A later version of Firefox worked with no issues. When the user accidently selects older version or at random times without user interaction the pop-up error appears.

Have not attempted to edit the registry.

Suggestions for steps to remove so a current version of Firefox can be installed would be appreciated

Whenever a new version of Firefox is installed the number inside the parenthesis increments by one.

I was wondering why this number is there in the first place.

An example would be when you go to a shortcut for firefox, what you see is something like Firefox (x), x being a number. In my case it is 60. Firefox(60).lnk and if I try deleting it, I am then asked if I want to make it Firefox (61).lnk

question, if 128.3.1esr.exe is supposed to be good until mar25, why is it telling me i need win 10 when i try loading? i'm trying to stay as far away from windows as i possibly can, but unfortunately i had to reload win7 because the downloads i need for linux are being difficult with only 3 months of experience. i don't need your security, or what microsoft pretends is security. i have no intention of relying on windows, i just need to be able to download the programs to create bootable os's for my crypto miners, those are debian based. because from what i've learned so far, i just like linux better.

After downloading and installing, I get Error Msg: Platform version 131.0 is not compatible - etc.
