Hi, I've just accidentally deleted my whole partition which I save the back up bookmark (.json). I did manage to recovered it from a program but it seem like Firefox unable to process it. And my Sync Data seem to be gone too. And I know nothing about json file (yeah, I did some research but it seem it's out of my range.) I guess anyone can help me?

I have just been upgraded from the lastest version of Mozilla Firefox, to Mozilla Developer Preview 26.0

This has resulted in the loss of all stored passwords, and sending Web Developer back quite a few versions.

Is there any way that I can get the passwords back? This is a major problem for me at the moment.

I have a webpage with a link to another webpage. The link is in the form <a href="http:\\www.sitename.com" target="new"> In IE, when I hover over the link the address http:\\www.sitename.com appears at the bottom of the screen, and the page opens with no trouble.

However, in Firefox when I hover over the link this appears at the bottom of the screen:

addressofcurrentpage/\\www.sitename.com

and when I click on the link, I get a 404 message telling me that page does not exist.

Why is Firefox rewriting my link's address for me, and how can I make it stop?

I use Firefox as my browser. I did some action (which I don't remember or understand) which changed my settings such that after a google search, the results are displayed in extremely tiny print.

Webpages display in "normal/default" readable size after clicking on a page link, or entering a link directly into firefox browser.

How can I change my firefox display settings to give a default print display, when I need to show my google search results? Thanks, D.B.

I was asked to squeeze my question into one sentence, so there it is. Image viewer doesn't offer a native zoom level unless layout.css.devPixelsPerPx is set to 1.0, which makes the entire interface tiny.

The devPixelsPerPx is -1.0 by default, which causes firefox to scale with the OS setting, which is perfectly fine. The problem is that it also causes opened image files, and more importantly the offered zoom level, to also scale the same as the UI. One zoom level is fit to screen, the other is native. (One is a magnifying glass with a "+", the other a "-".) Or rather, the other *should* be native, but in practice it is not native, instead it is scaled by the OS setting, making it as arbitrary and blurry as any other zoom level, which defeats the entire point and makes it impossible to access a native scaling in any reasonable way.

Firefox has never updated automatically, as I have it set for. It is version 26, and I'm trying to update to 33.1.1. When I download that version, I slide the icon to the applications folder icon, and click on "replace". I get this message: "The operation can't be completed because the item Firefox is in use." I click on Firefox to close it, but it will not close, so I cannot update it. What is wrong, and how can I update it???

I recently updated my Firefox version to V.33 and I really dislike the layout of the suggested or "pinned" websites. The previous version I used had only three "pins" to a row, with three columns, giving me a total of 9 "pinned" sites. This new update gives me way more options, but they're about a quarter of the size of the ones used in the previous Firefox version I had, making it very hard for someone (such as myself) who has bad eyesight to select the correct "pin". I really enjoy this browser but this is severely affecting the way I use it and I would just like to go back to the things I'm used to.

If anyone has any knowledge on how to revert just this one feature I'd be extremely greatful if you could share it.

Thanks.

I suffered a hard drive crash and had it replaced. I was able to save the most important of my data from my old hard drive, but I did not think to try to save my Firefox bookmarks. I did not have a Sync account before the crash happened.

Is there any way at all to recover the bookmarks from before the crash?

Note: I am using a 2009 iMac with a brand-new hard drive and running OS X Mavericks.

2 days ago, firefox just stopped responding. When I open, the start up screen shows but navigating to any other web pages is not possible. All I see is "connecting" and it just spins. No warnings or time outs. I thought it was an issue with my firewall so I went in and manually added firefox to the list of "allowed". That didn't help. I removed all apps, extensions and themes then tried to reset.. that didn't help because firefox wont restart it just hangs and I have to use task manager to end the process. I have tried a forced uninstall then reinstall.. nothing. At this point nothing seems to work. Maybe there is a simple solution I'm just not seeing. For now, it is uninstalled but I really would like to know if there is a way to fix it because firefox is my favorite browser. I'm not finding any maleware or viruses on my computer and other browsers are working just fine.
