My computer messed up today and i had to recover it, but i didnt get to save my bookmarks. I've had a mozilla account since 5/2/2024 (i think, thats at least what it says was the date i made my password) and i've saved a lot of bookmarks i cannot lose.

i forgot what email i had made it with tho, so i created a couple of new mozilla accounts and idk if that has messed up the profiles i'm using? i read the mozilla guide on bookmarks and i have like 3 profiles under "profile:default-release" (my settings are in danish, idk if that's what its called in english). but i cant tell which one it is? furthermore, when i click on "manage bookmarks" i get to this place that says something about bookmarks saved on html or something - which i know i havent done.

oh also, before any of that, the first thing i did was synchronize my google chrome bookmarks with firefox and idk if that has messed something up?

Hi, Folks. When I open "manage bookmarks" (Library), why does it always open at "other bookmarks"? This is at the very bottom of the alphabetical list (and empty) so I always have to scroll back up to the top. I've got a lot of bookmarks, so this is extremely irritating. How do I change this? I've searched for an answer. The only likely solutions suggest removing the "other bookmarks" folder, but the description of how to do that doesn't work. Nowhere can I find a "remove other bookmarks" option. And the delete option is greyed out.

I don't necessarily need to hide or remove it, as long as I can get the bookmarks manager/Library to open at the top, ie. "Bookmarks Menu".

i opened firefox (v.95) and tried opening up my email and found that all my saved passwords were gone from firefox on my computer. it said i should crate a firefox account to get my logins back so i did and i still could not access any of my web logins. so i searched the help pages. opened up my profile n made a backup of my key3, key4, n loginjson files, downloaded v.91 firefox esr and copied my key3 file into a new profile.

so i still dont have my web logins ... n now i have an outdated version of firefox with none of my bookmarks either. im sick of troubleshooting n my wifi is almost out for the month.

how do i get my web logins and bookmarks back so i dont have to spend hundreds of hours recreating them?

my bookmark star has disappeared from the search bar ( along with the little page icon for the more friendly reader version) weirdly when I opened this help page it is present again, but then when I try to reopen another tab it's gone again

been looking for a remedy can't find one that recent doesn't talk about the 3 little dots in the search bar

So why can't Firefox make their bookmark system more simple? I can spend 10 minutes looking for a bookmark that I KNOW I have & end up just googling for the site.

Hi I Can not remove Bookmarks. I test all usual ways but nothing happened!i first i test manage Bookmarks and select delete but it did not work... then i made my own account and nothing change... steal i can not delete bookmarks.

 Please help me.

Using Firefox version 99.0 (64bit). When I click "Bookmarks / Manage Bookmarks, the listing defaults to the "Other Bookmarks" folder. I would like it to default to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder. How do I make it do that?

Windows auto-updated and my bookmark toolbar disappeared

I still see all of my bookmarks in the "Bookmarks" list, but none of them appear across the top of my screen, where they usually are and I can't put them back.

Whenever I use the searchbar in the bookmarks manager, it always searches all of my bookmarks, but sometimes I might only want to search for that query within a specific folder. Is there any way to limit a bookmarks search to only a specific folder rather than the entirety of my bookmarks?

Despite i selected "always show" in the options of the menu toolbar, as indicated in many answers and guides, Mozilla keeps randomly to show or not to show (most of the times) my bookmarks in the top bar. The bookmarks are still there if i press on top on bookmarks in fact they appear, simply they are not anymore in the bar. I have reset several times to default from the options but it doesnt change anything. Any clue? Thank you

I am a longtime user of Firefox. When I started with it, I was under the (apparently false) belief that the main bookmarks folder was "other bookmarks". Consequently, all of my important bookmarks are contained in this folder. I just bought a new computer from Dell, and I find that I can not import the Other Bookmarks folder into the new computer. What I would like to do is delete the contents of the Bookmarks folder, then transfer the contents of the Other Bookmarks folder into this. I know I can do this one by one, but it will take a LONG time. Is there any way to do this in bulk? Thanks.

Hi, Why do we have double spaced bookmarks forced on us ?. It is an unnecessary nuisance having to now scroll down, with absolutely no advantage. Why o why is it that when the 'developers' ? are let loose the result is always less user friendly. I have only opened an account to let mozilla know that despite being with them for ever, unless you can tell me a simple and permanent fix, i will be changing to another browser. Hi, I've been a Firefox user for many years and don't have the slidest idea of what password I used to setup the account. I read in the Firefox documentation that I could loose all my information if I change my email but that's exactly what I need to do. I currently use gmail and have switched to Outlook. Two questions, how do I change to Outlook without loosing bookmarks, etc. and can I import my gmail accounts into Outlook. Thank you in advance. PS, I created a Recovery Key

I own a mac and had to erase all my data from my computer in order to upgrade to new system. Issue is - the apple support person did not remind me to save down my firefox browser data/bookmarks. Now my mac is updated and it's like a brand new computer. I searched previous forums and apparently firefox automatically saves down your data but I don't see it in the appropriate folder (Old Firefox Data >bookmarkbackups) - I see data from 2016 and 2017. Can I recover these bookmarks?? I had a lot of important ones saved..

I'm having a pretty frustrating issue that I've been trying to troubleshoot all morning with my bookmarks toolbar. I've made sure the toolbar is enabled, changed my theme, used multiple workaround on this forum and others, refreshed and reinstall Firefox to no avail. The only thing I noted was after my first refresh of Firefox my bookmarks toolbar was present, but when I closed firefox and reopened it again it was gone.

Since upgrading to Firefox 99.0.1 when I bookmark a web page into a specific folder, the URL does not appear when I open that folder. A restart of Firefox does not fix the issue.

But if I try to Bookmark the same page again, I am asked to edit it. So it must be in the folder but it is not visible! Help!
