Firefox 139.0.4 changed behavior of text search (find-in-page). It now opens closed accordions and finds text in the <details> text (which it did not do prior to this update). This really breaks my webpage. I think this was changed for compatibility with Chromium.

Is there a config setting to change this behavior? Alternatively, can I change the accordion html so that Firefox will not search the <details>? (These are my private webpages, so I can edit them.)

I keep getting notifications, supposedly from Mozilla and/or Microsoft on lower right of my screen, telling me the system is infected. How do i determine if these messages are valid, or a scam ? Turned computer off and back on--messages keep popping up.

Hello Team, I am having issues with Mozilla Firefox and Nightly Browser sound. If I use another browser, the sound is perfect. I have been using Firefox for years now and am accustomed to it, as well as Nighty, for all browsing needs.

in den einstellungen ist "Vorherige Fenster und tabs öffnen" angehakt.

es kommt aber wiederholt nach updates dazu, dass die letzten fenster und tabs nicht wieder geöffnet werden, sondern nur 1 tab mit der festgelegten startseite.🤷‍♂

muss ich mich damit abfinden, dass die letzten tabs hin und wieder im nirwana verschwinden? oder gibt es auch dafür einen tipp für laien?🙏

When on laptop, I want to synchronize account to desktop. I try to log on but need to get authorization code. The code takes an unreasonable amount of time to arrive, to my phone sms or email. Well,I found firefox browser in disk c: so I just uninstall and install it again in another disk.I do see firefox account was that very firefox account,but.........when install finished and login firefox account,It shocked,firefox is building a new account witch I used over 1 year,yes,witch account I saying these.OMG what happen?I can't find my bookmarks and colleted pages...OMG what happen somebody help me!!!

Google suggestion in Firefox's address bar keep showing Japanese suggestions even though I chose English and Canada as language and location with my google account.

I use same google account with google chrome, but google chrome doesn't show Japanese suggestion.

As for setting on Firefox, I unticked other than "show search suggestions".

How do I resolve it?

On various websites with embedded podcasts, when the file goes past 1h the volume 'slider' goes away and becomes a basic mute/unmute button. How can i force Firefox to always display the volume slider?

Full Blank screen when opening new tab or webpage Does this intermittently, at least once per day. Recovery is to clear all active apps from memory, then reopen Firefox; previouse tabs are present.

No relation to number of tabs open or number of other apps open.
This problem has persisted for at least 2 FF build updates.
 It is NOT A MEMORY ISSUE, I checked last failure

Yes, please don't give me the MS ctrl-alt-del type of response about cookies.... That was done many times before posting this. The website works fine in Brave. MS Edge well, let's not speak of it in public company shall we.

So, now what the heck is happening to FF???? I have contacted HF three times and they referred me to use other browsers other than FF. No, I DO NOT have multiple extensions nor themes. FF is bare bones but for uBlock. Hardware acceleration is off and MS Clear type is on. Anybody wanna fess up, who broke this????

Could you please let me know the latest validity period (expiration date) of the root and intermediate certificates currently used for add-on signature verification in the latest version of Firefox (139.0.4)? Sending this using Safari because Firefox is totally messed up. Firefox 115.24.0esr (64-bit) OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra 2011 Mac Power Book (MPB) with 16 GB RAM. Verizon DSL line, download speed tests from 10-14 Gb/sec but Latency is always 400-900+ msec. No way to measure Jitter with speedtests that will run on my older system, or Bufferbloat now that DSLreports has gone dark.

I want a tool that will allow me to see all the attempts to connect, and packets/traffic, to see it its my old computer going bad, Firefox, the wireless or wired connection to the DSL modem/router, or the DLS modem/router itself, such as a problem with reaching the Domain Name Server (DNS) etc.

I can access the DSL modem/router in the browser, but there isn't much documentation. Its made by Actiontec but customized firmware for Verizon.

The problem persists whether I am using wifi or an Ethernet cable.

My wifes 2010 MBP computer with 8GB RAM using about 6.4GB, running High Sierra and Firefox 115.24.0 (esr) seems not to have the problem at all.

Firefox will show something in the lower left corner, "connecting to..." or "loading..." etc. It can stall with either status.

Search engines would be StartPage or DuckDuckgo. With DDgo, sometimes it just spins forever, but if I click on the URL bar, it drops down another line with the same URL and "--Visit" appended. Sometimes that will load, but seems random.

Some URLs / links open in a few seconds, some spin forever.

I first called Verizon Tech support on May22 about problems (see full exchange of repeated calls & new trouble tickets below). I think, IIRC, this happens to be shortly after I upgraded my Firefox version. They have admitted to PINGs not returning, packet loss, no excuse for the Latency.

I do have a lot of pages/tabs open; Activity Monitor says my memory use is about 14GB, but the Memory Pressure stays low in the green. I also run Thunderbird, TextEdit, maybe Adobe Reader and Excel. But even when I close everything else, the non-loading issue persists. When I shut down Firefox, the memory pressure can go into the red and take a very long time (so I always shut down all other apps first). A recent shutdown stalled & I ended up losing many open pages/tabs, but even the slimmed down load has the same problem.

I have shut off the AddOn NoScript, but the problem persists.

THUR 22MAY25 call back from networking guy. they raised the speed to 13.4 but latency still 28, he says should be 15 max. Asked him to optimize by reducing download speed. will call back later or tomorrow.
