It happened again. My firefox must have removed all of my cookies because I had to sign back into all of my regular websites--Youtube, Yahoo email, Facebook, Twitter, etc. This has happened once before. Firefox deleted all the sign in cookies? Not sure what exactly is happening; I only know that I had to sign back into all my regular websites. This seems to be happening every few months now.

Hello, I wanted to ask about this new site permission.

I previously used the "set cookies" permission for specific sites to keep their data after closing Firefox (Dev Edition), but now we have this "keep site data when closing" permission, can I just rely on this new permission instead? I should probably test it, but I wanted to ask first :p

Was I using the "set cookies" permission incorrectly this whole time?!

I saw a very confident by a 'support volunteer' that the interface contains controls to delete traces.

Show me in the in interface where these files can be deleted:

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0NB2KS6j.Profile 1\cache2\entries

C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0NB2KS6j.Profile 1\safebrowsing

Some very bold claims that I don't see backed up by anything having to do with reality.

Before closing Firefox, I go to: Privacy and Security, Clear data for specific sites, remove the sites I don't want. Then I go to Clear Browsing Data and check two boxes: clear Browsing and download history and Temporary cached files.

In spite of that, I see 50 - 100 MB in Google. I don't want that.

Therefore, I went to the Manage Exceptions list and added all the sites that I want to keep cookies and site data. I checked Save Changes. (Google is included in that list.)

However, if I return to Clear Browsing Data & Cookies, check Cookies & Site Data, then Clear, Firefox deletes all the sites stored in Managed Exceptions, too. It's not supposed to do that.

Questions: 1. How do I prevent that from happening? 2. Should I remove Google from Managed Exceptions list?

I don't believe it even comes close. The traces in re: C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\0NB2KS6j.Profile 1\cache2\entries

It all stopped going away with Wide Disk Cleaner after we began using Windows 10 several weeks ago. Under Win 7 Pro all those files were deleted.

Firefox has nothing I have ever seen that will clear ALL traces beyond the limited things the interface allows you to clear.

It is been like 6 or 7 months now since i move to new pc and i been using firefox in this new pc together with other browsers. I am not really using firefox for anything related to google or gmail but just other website that have 0 relation to them. But i have still logged in my main accounts in firefox. It is been twice that once in a while, when i have to check my gmail accounts, all of them disappear and all i see is just sign in page only. There is no log in again or Please log in to this address or that address but straight up fresh page of google sign in page. I still logged back in when it first happened because i heard about the bug that happened with firefox update but now it happen again. It is as if my cookies just vanished but no, other sites still got their own cookies and there is many cache of other website here. other than my google accounts. What is happening here. Is my firefox bugged or something? Should i reinstall and have to relogin everything "again?"

I have one website that gives me a "Secure Connection Failed" If I click on the icon in the left address bar on mybrowser, I am given an option to "Clear cookies and site data" I click that and then appears a blue button at top that says "Clear" Now when I do a refresh of the tab, everything loads fine. This is Newsmax.com I read the news there. IS there a way to into Firefox settings and make an exception to https"//newsmax.com and make it so I don't have to keep clicking "Clear Site Data and Cookies" ? Thanks!

Hello there's just been an update on my laptop for Firefox.. and now I'm logged out of every account I had opened on my browsers!! I googled this and seemingly this problem has happened before with Firefox..

I couldn't log into a site and it was suggested to 'clear cache' as follows: - settings - privacy and security - cookies and site data - clear browsing data BUT only cookies and temp cache sites. By mistake I believe I ticked browsing and download history too, and looks as though it is irrersible? Now I no longer automatically get all the little boxes I used to get for usual regular log ins (eg The Times, Meteo, banks, email etc) I think I can use 'add shortcuts' and re-enter these, but any other suggestions? Well at least I think it did. Facebook has an issue with scrolling through the feed in my group. I don't know whether there's also a problem on the home feed and also one's timeline. The further one goes back, the more sluggish it becomes and it takes longer to display posts. I'm not sure whether this is a browser issue as I haven't tested on other browsers, or a problem with Facebook pulling stuff out of the drawers in its archives. Maybe it's a memory issue due to all posts needing to be loaded in memory so it's possible to go back up through the feed to the newest one. Anyway, it gets to the stage after going back through hundreds of posts over 6 months, FB stalls. So I tried clearing my history (I have this set to not clear cookies). I then closed FB and Firefox. When I started Firefox again, I had to agree to cookies and sign into all my social media accounts, Google accounts and also agree to cookies on sites I visit regularly. So obviously a glitch in the browser, causing many, if not all cookies to be deleted.
