On Thursday 3rd September 2026 Firefox stopped working. I tried lots of things to get it to work to no avail. Today, 8th September 2026, I had already deleted the Firefox that was already on my PC so I downloaded a fresh copy from the Firefox website and installed it. It ran perfectly for about 30 minutes then I shut it down. 5 Minutes later, a Firefox crash report appeared which I duly sent of. Checking Event Manager a string of error messages saying the same thing, Its the XUL.DLL file that keep crashing! This was the same file that caused the failure last week. I had made sure that XUL.DLL was not on the pc when I downloaded Firefox today. When I click on the Firefox icon it open but stays on a black lower half of the screen and boxes at the top, white lined but black and transparent lines moving left to right across them, eventually it fails and closes, after a few minutes it send the crash report. Its a shame because I have used Firefox for many, many years and now having to use Edge!!!!

The Firefox Browser crashed three four times last week. Mozzila Support team after study, gave a comment that RAM capacity is Low( 4 GB in my case , laptop). Does it sound OK? Running Windows 10 (have extended security updates). Starting at version 153.0 Firefox hangs (spinning cursor) until Windows realizes it is not responding and lets me stop the program. Seems to be independent of the website (even happened on a Mozilla page). Have tried a couple of 153.xx updates and also 154 but behaves the same. On a Dell Inspiron 7570:

When I try to manually delete all my browsing history from the browsing history icon, firefox locks up and nothing happens until I click my mouse button and I get the message box stating that Firefox is not responding and it gives me two choices, close the program or wait for firefox to respond-

Dozens of reboots every day due to video seizures only with Firefox. Tab crashes causes those I am ordered to support to LOSE WORK. After a tab crash and restore the FF interface is frozen -- no type of input from peripherals possible. This is all supposed to be solved by Monday. If I am out of luck with FF -- just tell me. That's very simple. New machines, new OS and it's worse than under the legacy systems we support after moving up from Win 7 Pro.

Legacy Win 7 Pro machines were just upgraded (had no choice but to run them) and FF performance was fine with legacy laptops eight years old. The FF version was much older. With much faster machines and Win 10 running 152.x, now 153.0, there are chronic chokes with FF. Tab crashes. Videos NEVER loading, chronic rebooting etc. -- it just doesn't seem to ever end. But it's not my decision. However -- the shitte rolls downhill right into my lap because nobody else has the patience. Please do not suggest paid 'support' again, because I would get laughed at, given the chronic problems to date over a number of years.

Firefox v153 downloaded a day or 2 ago. Since when it freezes, cannot access internet, then crashes regularly. have to restart to get it working again. PC with windows 10. Despite windows settings showing internet connected, and other device connection fine. I've stopped the VPN plugin. It was freezing every few days before the update, but now it's 2-3 times a day.

My PC was just updated to Firefox 153 and since the app seems to freeze regularly - particularly when accessing (older) silly games such as Bubble Pet Saga - a simplistic CBC game. https://www.cbc.ca/kids/games/play/bubble-pet-saga

Beyond My Experience. As I Bring up Firefox Upper Right Flag Yo Update Firefox. IF I DISMISS, TROUBLE STARTS. FOR NO REASON ACCUWEATHR APPEARS. IF I X Firefox Shuts Down. Instead to Remain Online, I have to Use a Bookmark and Continue. Not in My Bookmarks, How Can I Stop That Annoyance Pop Up. Thanks, Joe

Every time I attempt to log into X.com the Firefox browser stops working entirely. Dead. Nothing. Won't open or function. Need to restart my computer to access and use Firefox. This does not happen when I use Chrome.

As I write I am seriously considering walking away from using Firefox and advising all my friends to not use it.

Every time a programme does a update on my desktop, which is several times a week, it crashes Firefox and I get endless messages all day to keep rebooting Firefox.

It is getting extremely aggravating, frustrating and making me very annoyed.

This is supposed to be a modern browser with no big issues, supposedly easier to use than others? not on my desktop it is not and has not been for several months.
