Hi... I did a Firefox refresh today. Prior to the refresh, my bookmarks were displayed of the left side of the browser page... now they are not. I can still see and access my bookmarks if I go into manage bookmarks. But, I can not figure out how to get them displayed as before. Would appreciate any help anyone can provide. Thank in advance.

I want to print a page. But without the header and footer stuff (because it is ugly and I don't want others to see the information). There are a lot of old pages here and on other places about how to do this. They are unfortunately all deprecated. What is the way to do this as of 2023? OS is Windows, btw.

In settings, Start-up, I have the box checked for: "open previous windows and tabs" but it doesn't work. In order to do my work I need the 23 tabs I currently have open to show up again after a reboot of the browser or computer. What gives? How long will it take to get this corrected? I've tried everything and read all the instructions but none work.

Anything I open in documents, or pictures If I right click the Firefox Icon in my task bar it shows all recently entered. How do I stop this? I don't want this showing or saved.

This only happens when clicking a link from an email in Thunderbird most of the time it is a news platform. I have to copy the link and open a new tab in Firefox to have it work.

When I visit an http site and specify a non-standard port, it automatically changes to https, which is not a site redirect but something Firefox changes. This site already has an https service, and the http service will redirect to https. I reproduced the same situation in chrome. Accessing the http service with a non-standard interface was normal. After accessing the https service once, the service with the non-standard port was also changed to https. Clearing the data will restore it. Is this cached? My HTTPS-Only Mode is turned off, and set an exception for this site. thx.

I have a desktop and laptop both with FF installed and synced and they ALWAYS load identical. Yesterday I set up my my new desktop in my office and I installed FF and when I logged onto my account my FF stayed the default color. This never happened before, and as I turned and looked at my old desktop I saw that it too now had the wrong theme. So I went into my kitchen were I have my laptop set up (it just upgraded itself to win 11 and I am using it as a training tool) the FF on it was no longer appearing correctly.

I have since spent 30 some hours uninstalling/reinstalling FF/ deleting my profile, remaking my profile, re-deleting my profile and making another new profile using a different email and when I install FF on ANY OTHER pc it will not load correctly, especially themes and add ons.

What the hell is causing this and how do I fix it??

On every PC I used my Revo Uninstaller Pro to uninstall FF including file remnants and then meticulously scrubbed repeatedly each PC for any leftover registry and file remnants, and then I used my file eraser program to wipe all the file slack.

If this is going to be an issue why have FF ? I spend enough time now keeping Edge disabled and dont want my fav primary browser to become a "High Maintenance" browser having to spend time EVERY TIME I TURN ON MY PC fixing this, repeatedly. Its like having to add water to your cooling system every time you start up your car before you can use it.

Any help would be enormously appreciated.

The trouble shooting information below is for the first install tonight after getting home and making the newest profile and it is seemingly staying correct, the next install on my laptop is incorrect, it has one deleted theme installed yet is "using" the default theme and the correct theme I picked is not even showing.

I can't open a particular site i watch in private. I refreshed browser; I gave permissions off and then on or enhanced tracking off then on and neither nor changed anything. The website help desk that i tried opening verified password asked which browser and still it wouldn't open when putting correct information password and user name in. Any suggestions? I didn't do anything different and thought it was the website but i'm member and nothing's changed on their end.

When I sign in to a website I check the box saying 'remember this computer' but FF doesn't seem to allow this. I have to go thru the security login every single time, like when signing in to a google account. It works on Chrome but not FF.

This may be related: sometimes the page displayed on FF doesn't function as it should. Example: I was using Quickbooks online and when I clicked the HELP button nothing happened. I thought it was an Intuit problem until I used Chrome and found the HELP button worked.

Thanks for getting back to me. First, my computer screen froze (I suspect some interference of a hacker or something).

Anyway, I turned off my computer, waited several minutes, and turned it back on, again. A message came on the screen said I wasn't "signed in." Then, another smaller window came up saying I could "sign in" by clicking on a blue button. But, that didn't work after three tries, so I clicked on the "closed" button. That allowed me very limited access to the internet. A "black" label announcement said that I wasn't signed in - and that my files were inaccessible to me.

It looks like I need a technician, but I presently have no car and I don't know of any technicians who do "House Calls."

I'm also wary of contacting an online technician. One time a year or so ago, I looked up a phone number for Microsoft - and the guy I spoke with had an "Indian" accent. He sort of helped me for a stiff fee. In hindsight, I realized he couldn't possibly have worked for Microsoft - even though he assured me that he did...

Can you or someone on your staff possibly help me. I trust Mozilla Firefox and I'm prepared to pay a reasonable fee.

Title. I've followed every guide I've found but the issue still persists. I've created a new profile, reinstalled ff after deleting the whole file from my pc, deleted all cookies for a dozen times, disabled all extensions, started ff in that problem mode or whatever it's called and I still can't login to certain websites.

I type my login credentials, press "continue" and nothing happens.

I hate how much information Google gathers from their users but I used Chrome for five or more years and I never had this issue with their browser. Not once. Even now I constantly have to go back using Chrome because with it I have no issues logging in to the sites while on FF I just can't.

What is going on?

Today firefox can't lunch at all, I made a clearing, also reinstalling (but not "clear" reinstall). There is no any crashes or crash reports, it just doesn't launch

I wanted to bump this as I never received a satisfactory answer for the reason behavior was changed and it is still something that feels like a UX regression.

Update to version 96 64-bit just completed. Many websites now experiencing Secure Connection Failed PR_END_OF_FILE_ERROR. Did Help -> More Troubleshooting Information -> Refresh Firefox to go back to all defaults. Open Firefox again, add Menu Bar. Open what used to be home screen tabs, ok at first, but within minutes start experiencing Secure Connection Failed in several websites. Seems to come and go, sometimes a Reload current page restores normal website, sometimes not. Close Firefox, open again, restore previous session tabs, only a matter to time before one or more start getting Secure Connection Failed errors. No extensions, no themes. Browser is now so unreliable as to be unusable. Please assist.
